Pet friendly, fully air conditioned wooden retreat, with a wood fire for those cooler evenings, a gas BBQ with outdoor dining, expansive decks, a fully equipped kitchen for food lovers, and lovely views for that true holiday feeling. Located opposite from the river with walk trails, close to wineries and the cidary.
Fully enclosed grassed area and the balconies too, so that your fur babies can safely roam.
Plenty of wildlife with a variety of birds, parrots, frogs, lizzards, possuems and even a bandicoot or two.
Full linens provided.
Three fully airconditioned bedrooms with queensized beds, with an extra single in one of the rooms, and another with doors opening onto the balcony.
Please note: This propety is not suitable for the elderly or those with mobility issues as due to the propertys location on the hill, there are steps.

We arrived in Bridgetown on a very cold and wet weekend. But our stay at the Rustic Bridgetown cottage was everything we expected. It was cosy, comfortable, and nestled high in the perfect location. The house was equipped with everything we need.My grandsons enjoyed feeding the many different birds that visited each day.Would definitely like to return when it is warmer spring weather, and the possums could come out and say hello. Thank you for a lovely stay.

This was our second stay and we really appreciate how pet friendly this property is. The verandah and grassy area is completely fenced giving us so much peace of mind. Comfy beds with plenty of blankets and a good supply of split wood for the fire made our stay very cozy. The kitchen is a highlight, fully kitted with everything you need for cooking and baking.The cottage is full of character and charm. This visit, we found a four-leaf clover and the kids cracked walnuts they found fallen from the walnut tree!

Large house overlooks the Blackwood River. Great for walks with our dogs. Log fire to warm us on wintry days. Though we had a little hiccup with the stove, the owner was easily contactable and had the issue rectified quickly, even though it was the weekend.

This was an amazing property in the perfect location. We wanted a winter holiday, with a big pot belly stove and lots of doggy walks options nearby!!!! Easy walk into town and local general store/bottle shop. Riverside walks were amazing. We absolutely loved it!!!

Cosy stay in a beautiful setting

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this charming home set among the trees. From the nostalgic creak of the front screen door to the beautifully rustic wooden interiors and comfy furnishings, we were enamoured from the moment we arrived. I was in bird nerd heaven, listening to and observing a whole range of feathered friends from the deck every moment I could - a little red-eared firetail came up close and said hello at least once each day, which was delightful. Another highlight was the afternoon we spent relaxing by the outdoor fire pit surrounded by birdsong followed by a blanket of stars after nightfall.All in all an idyllic autumn weekend.

Beautiful Hideaway

Nestled amongst the forest, this was a perfect place for some R&R. The house had everything we needed and we loved sitting on the balcony watching the birds visit. Our furbaby had a great time, and the property was safe and secure for her to roam in. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Back to Nature!

Rustic cottage nestled in the Bridgetown hills, surrounded by birds, possums and lizards! There is a beautiful walk trail at the end of the driveway but still less than 5 minutes from the centre of Bridgetown. We loved the kitchen and found everything we needed for our stay. The bedrooms are roomy and comfortable and so is the lounge. We really appreciated the enclosed verandah for the dogs too.

Quirky house base for fun family holiday

Through it wasn’t as shiny as the pictures, there was plenty to recommend this rambling hideaway. Breakfast on the deck feeding the birds, dining and living areas ample for family time, a kitchen with everything you need except a dishwasher. Be aware that the bathroom is awkward, the bedrooms hanging spaces are locked off and the skylights festooned with cobwebs. The driveway is also a challenge. Still lots of secret spaces for exploring like the back patio and garden, the fish pond, the Blackwood River Walk and then there is the haunted shack up the path

Amazing retreat dog friendly

A fantastic stay away with family (plus our furry family) down south. Large living space with excellent airy views. Rustic throughout. Very comfortable for a large family. Private and peaceful. We will be back for sure!
