What a beautiful little cottage to stay in. Fully equipped with so many extras, it makes such a difference to a holiday.Comfortable sofas and beds, and fittings. Our Christmas break was exceptional, with even more extras to make our Christmas special. We would highly recommend this cottage to others, and we look forward to booking again in the summer months, to enjoy all the favourite places around in Dorset.

We loved our stay at Woodpecker-cottage.

We loved our stay at Woodpecker-cottage. The only thing that would have been nice was to have a parasol for our outside courtyard .We did speak with Mark who kindly brought us another one but as it did not have anything to weigh it down it was too unsafe to have up. The only other thing was lots of flies but being on a farm I guess this it what you may expect.Otherwise it was a really lovely cottage and a great base to explore from.We would like to return maybe in the Autumn/Spring. Our second visit to Woodpecker this year and was as enjoyable as in March except this time was minus our dog Scoob who we sadly lost in June aged 16. We met Mark this time who was very helpful and friendly. Will definately be back.

Very good cottage as always.

Very good cottage as always. New furniture, especially the beds, great improvement. Unfortunately weather was dreadful - rained nearly every day and with 2 dogs to take out life was difficult. Mark, the caretaker, was very helpful and supplied all the things that I had no room to bring. Hopefully will come again but a long way from North Norfolk but we love Dorset.

For our short break Woodpecker was perfect. Good location for many places to visit without having to travel far. Local pub Three Horseshoes in Burton Bradstock and the Bridport Golf Club served excellent food. Walks with our elderly dog at Hive Beach plus a stop for coffee were perfect.
