The apartment was in a very nice location and was very nicely presented as it was on the ground floor of a former country house which is now in a large city. Which was once part of the kitchen are with many quirky rooms and features such as a Bread oven in the kitchen. It was very comfortable and quite and gave you time to think what some of the rooms were used for originally.

Flat was not easy to locate due to address on Gate saying Queens Rd , yet address is on Richmond Park Rd . The staff on the phone was fantastic helping to get us in the property in the dark . Flat has everything you require, but needs a really good Bottoming as the saying goes. The lights fitments really need a ladder to get them clean , skirting boards etc . General cleaning was ok. The contents are clean , plenty of space but a double duvet on a king size bed is not ideal. Added bonus of a laundry room is great .

The flat was very well located. The management company was adequately communicative. The wifi only works in the living room. While the bedroom is very dark as the only natural light comes from a grating in the above courtyard, the dining area and kitchen receive lots of natural light. The bathroom was recently updated and nicely appointed.The owners were helpful, replaced the broken oven, provided items missing in the kitchen (such as an additional wine glass so we had 4 rather than only three, oven mitts, cereal bowls). Since the duvet doesn't actually fit the bed (as shown in the listing photo), we requested a bigger duvet. But instead, they brought us a bedspread which covered us well enough. However, the photos need to be updated on the listing: with the exception of the bedroom, the wall to wall carpeting is dirty, stained, loose and rucked up and needs to be replaced. The flat could also use new paint, the walls, and especially the baseboards, look dirty.

The location, size of the apartment and parking were fabulous. However, the apartment needs a deep clean and quite a bit of maintenance given the price paid. In particular cobwebs, filthy and threadbare carpets, peeling paint, dirty skirting boards, old wiring & disused electronic devices everywhere, very old doonas & pillows, broken & dirty cooking equipment. We had to rewash most kitchenware before we could use it. Overall the place just needs some TLC.

Die Lage war top und wir hatten das Auto direkt vor dem Appartement. Die Wohnung war dunkel und extrem verdreckt. Das SpĂŒhlmaschimen Sieb hat bestimmt seit 1 Jahr niemand mehr gereinigt. Die Ausstattung der KĂŒche war miserabel. Die Betten total durchgelegen, genauso wie das Sofa.Einzig das Bad war ok.Wir wĂŒrden dieses Appartement definitiv nicht mehr buchen.

I stayed here for a half marathon event in Bristol. The apartment was in a quiet part of Bristol, which we liked. Very spacious for the price and we had a great time. Great to have parking on site too. The suspension bridge was quite close and there were some lovely views of the city from local walks. When we walked up and down to the central part of Bristol the route was quite hilly (about 25 mins I think) which may be challenging for some. The colour of the lighting in the lounge was a bit too cold/‘white’ I thought - it would be better to have a warmer orangish colour. We would definitely consider staying again. Thank you.

Simple flat in excellent location

The flat is easy to find in an excellent area, just a few minutes walk from Clifton village. On site parking is a real plus. We didn't spend that much time at the property, but some small improvements would really enhance things. For example, only 1 towel each - my wife has long hair, so more than 1 is vital to dry it. No lamps in the living room, only the bright main ceiling light. No teapot available, and no cloths available for wiping up. As I said these are small things, but very easy to add and would really improve the experience for anyone staying more than 1 night.

Good sized flat in a brilliant location. Flat would benefit from a deep clean and spruce up, but was very good value. Parking was secure but access wasn't easy. A re-organisation of the parking is needed (so no longer behind the gate) as well as the gates checked to avoid another incident (my car was damaged)

I would really recommend this property if you want to be near Clifton Village and the University of Bristol. It offers secure onsite parking and lots of room for two people. The apartment is very individual and based on a very old building. Yes, there are some things that could be easily improved, like providing a corkscrew and a better set of glasses. If you want eye popping designer 5 star elegance, it isn't for you. The very age of the building means it is never going to be perfect, but my wife and I would definitely return

Awesome large basement flat

We booked this place last minute as it was the only one left in Bristol with parking. All the details came through and it was easy to find and park. We needed to be near the children's hospital and it was walkable from the apartment. It was a huge basement flat. You could get lost in it! There was an entrance lobby, kitchen, living room, rear hall with a desk area and stone stairs, shower room, utility room, walk-in wardrobe then the bedroom. Everything worked as it should. The kitchen equipment was serviceable so we were able to cook. It got cold when we were there so putting on the heating for a short while was a simple process. Ok, so bad points. The mattress seems a little thin. The bedroom window is into a covered area but it was a basement so as to be expected. I couldn't get Netflix on the TV and there was a bit of a damp smell in places. The apartment was very clean and I couldn't see any mould though. Overall I would definitely stay here again if it was available.

Great location. Property is fine and is suitable for short let. It is let down however by some basics. Leaky radiators in bathroom and lounge. Kitchen utensils and crockery ate all over the pkace, no uniformity so having to check all cupboards to get a couple matching covers. Could do with a proper clean. Old property yes but no excuse for multiple cobwebs and dust on tv stand etc. Be nice to have an outdoor table in the sun maybe.

The location was fantastic to access both Clifton and central Bristol. Basic amenities. Lovely bed linen! Main let down was the TV which was very old and not Smart! We were out a lot so less of an issue until we got home exhausted.

Change of accommodation

We were very upset to be e-mailed two days before our trip, and told that our chosen property was no longer available. We were offered an alternative, but informed that if we didn’t like it our only option was to cancel our holiday. The alternative accommodation was acceptable, but in a very busy area, and we were kept awake most nights by youngsters in the flat downstairs, revellers on the street, or car alarms/police cars/vans unloading etc. We managed to enjoy our holiday but were overall left disappointed.
