Pleasant stay

Came for an event and chose this hotel for its location. Had a very pleasant stay. Staff were very friendly but not always very well organised. Didn’t love that the bar and the reception were the same. Rooms were very comfortable and clean.

On a busy road and noisy works happening feom 9am. Room was spacious and the bed was comfortable on the plus side. On the negative side, towels smelled stale and were not soft. Shampoo, and shower gel were not great. The breakfast was fair.

Booked mainly because it seemed to be the only hotel in Bristol guaranteeing a decent shower room. Didn’t disappoint. The room was very clean and comfortable. Only minor gripe would be it took a fair while to check in

Place to lay your head

Check in was busy and staff worked best they could, sole aspects could ha e sped up the process but all in all quite good. This dod take up most staff though so wait at bar was very long during this time.Room wqs adequate, everything thay was needed but bathroom very small. Room and stay gave us everything we needed would return. Good location and service.

Stop overheating your rooms!!

This is a Marriott hotel rebranded for younger people, and tbf they do a good job of disguising the Marriott brand and creating an attractive fairly cool atmosphere in the common areas. The breakfast was excellent and had several vegan and veggie options readily available, which is always an annoyance at Marriott hotels, as they never seem to provide anything unless you request it and wait. The room (a twin) was small, but well designed and bright, with a small but tidy shower room. I particularly appreciated the recessed/dim lighting option in the bathroom, which allowed for the lights to go on during the night without waking the other person. However, the absolute madness of a room where you can't lower the temperature (it was 23.5º in our room!) *unless you turn off the heating and open a window* (this is the instruction on the thermostat as pictured) is a dealbreaker for me. The sensible and ecologically friendly option would be to heat the room to a much lower temp (say 18º), and set a maximum. Unable to cool the room down enough to sleep, we had to leave the window to the busy road open all night (in January!) just to get the temperature down to bearable level, meaning expensive heating was pouring out of an open window. Don't be idiots Marriott, this makes zero sense.

Over priced, room not cleaned

Robotic check-in. Stain on carpet. Dusty room, slippy shower. Not enough space to put your stuff. Room not cleaned. Not enough coffee. My boyfriend went down to get towels and coffee as room not cleaned and was given 1 hand towel and 1 full size towel, i am not big, but not ideal to shower with a hand towel and he was also guven just 2 coffee sachets, not enough as had to put 2 coffee sachets per cup as coffee is cheap, so had to go without our morning coffee. Breakfast staff are nice and friendly on Saturday the guy asked for our room number but on sunday no one cared. On Saturday there were no forks left, one guy asked another guy, it took him 5 mins to bring forks, so had to wait to eat breakfast, location not great, not much around, thought i would try moxy for a change and give it a go. I paid 256gbp for 2 nights, in my opinion, its just not good enough and i will never stay in a moxy again after this experience, i am very disappointed. Also crisp packet rubbish outside lift on 3rd floor, loads of cleaners about, can they not pick it up?. Don't bother staying here, far too expensive for what it is.

Very comfortable stay, room spotless.. reception area & bar stylish with table football and pool table. Hotel in good position for multi storey car park, shopping, restaurants & walkable distance to harbourside with all it's attractions .
