We had a wonderful trip over labor day weekend. This is our second time staying at Many River Retreat. We had so much fun in the creek behind the home as well as cooking on the grill twice. Ice machine on counter was a nice touch and used frequently. Would stay again!
This property is stunning right off the creek in a gated community. My friends and I loved the property. We would definitely stay again. 10 out of 10. High recommend.
Property is very nice. Looks just like the pictures. Sliding glass door lock was broken. There were tons of bugs and trash on the back patio. You could tell the floors had not been swept or mopped.
The host was very communicative and helpful before and during our stay. The home itself is lovely beautifully kept, with a gorgeous water view and plenty of wildlife. We even had deer walk right up to the house, which was such a treat! The beds were very comfortable (which is huge for me when traveling), and I loved that there were two coffee makers a very important detail in my book. That said, I do want to note that when we arrived, the AC was not working well. It stayed uncomfortably warm throughout our stay, never getting cooler than 75F during the day. In the winter, this house would be perfect, but in the summer, with all the windows, the current AC unit just couldnât keep up.Beyond that inconvenience, it truly was a peaceful and beautiful place to stay.Itâs also worth mentioning that itâs about a 30-minute drive to Hochatown, so plan ahead for travel time.
Beautiful property overlooking a creek. Great arrangement with each room having its own bathroom, perfect space for family or friend gatherings, peaceful outdoor area to relax and unwind. It is located about 15-20 minutes outside of town and we appreciated that!
Rented this property for the 4th of July holiday week. What you see in pictures is what you get which was nice. Very peaceful. Kids fished played in river daily. Smores by the fire pit. Games and puzzles inside. Tv and coffee on the back deck. Washer dryer was great. Host communicated well when issue came up. Cell signal is spotty so the spam calls left me alone! Cooked our meals here. If you are picky about cookware bring your own but what is here is functional. If you have bigger group bring extra silverware/plates. You are 40 minutes from hochatown or the lake. It's very private. Caught bass, crappie, and perch! I definitely felt i got my money's worth!
The house is beautiful with a wonderful outside area. Perfect to spend time in the fresh air, even in the rain. Karey was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. The only downside is that it was further out from anything that we realized (about 15 minutes )but doable
Had a wonderful time in the tucked away cabin. Well off the beaten path, we arrived and didn't want to leave. Gorgeous home and cute up and coming neighborhood. All the amenities right on the river. Thank you!
When we booked this cabin 8 months before our stay, it looked nice and had great reviews, but there was a lot to discover when we checked in. When we entered, the cabin was not ready. There were piles of trash on the floor, dirty bedding and towels wadded up on the beds, and pooled dirt in the bathroom appliances. We learned that the washing machine was broken, and because of that the cleaning crew left, and there was no communication alerting them that the cabin was booked that night. Why was the washing machine broken? The pipes are pulling sand from the well, so all running water had sand in it. My family was excited for the hot tub, but the water was brown with dirt.Initially, there was no fix offered by the property manager. We opted to stay at the cabin with the agreement that the cleaning crew would return that night to finish cleaning and furnish bedrooms and bathrooms with clean linens. That night, one person arrived to make the beds and set out towels, and after our request did some cleaning. During our stay, we also had two visits from the plumber. There were a few other small issues that make it seem like this cabin is just not getting the attention it needs. We were grateful to receive a full refund from the property manager. This is a newer cabin that would be a cozy and peaceful stay with some TLC, plumbing repairs and a better relationship with their cleaning crew.
Amazing property! The house is cozy and spacious for my big family. Like other reviews google maps was the best at finding this location accurately. Bring your own water and ice. Overall great experience.
Arrived to house. Door unlocked and lights and fans on. The water is very cloudy and left a nasty gray coating in tub and shower. Water not good for drinking.Home beautiful but no toilet papee in any bathroom
This cabin was so beautiful in person. There was a few things that made first day a little rough but the communication with the property manager made up for it! Will definitely be coming back!
We had a wonderful vacation at Many Rivers Retreat! We will definitely be back. The highlight of the trip was playing in the creek that the house sits right next to. Our kids are all under 6 and had such an adventure with it! Home was stunning and decorated beautifully. Our favorite spot in the house was no question, the back porch. It rained a little during our trip and it was so relaxing sitting outside during the rain shower. The map on listing shows house right off 259 and its actually about 15ish minutes east from there so that can be a little deceiving. However due to it being Labor Day weekend we did not mind being outside of Hochatown. Overall, you will not be disappointed if you stay here!
We absolutely loved the Many River Retreat. The place was spotless. Plenty of space. Fully stocked kitchen for cooking/baking. The back patio was very spacious. We loved having the TV on the patio.
Just a tip, we werenât able to find the location using our Apple iPhone map, we had to use Google Maps. Apple map took us to the entirely wrong place, but it was easy with Google Maps.
The only small issue we had was that the back door was missing a locking mechanism. It appeared as if it had been in the middle of a repair when we arrived. There was no handle at all on the sliding door, and the holes for installment were completely open to the outside. This left us with no way to lock the back door which made us uneasy, especially with small children.
I did message the host, but never received a solution after we were told theyâd get back with us.
Overall, this was a very nice place to stay. And I would assume that the lock on the back door would most likely be replaced by now. Would definitely return!
