This cabin has a lot of potential. We wanted to be away from the large amounts of people in Broken Bow, so we knew this was far away, which wasnât the problem. But there is a cabin within 50 yard of this one, with no privacy between, and they share the same driveway/parking area, which is off a fairly busy road. There are quite a few steep stairs down to the river. None of that would have been a deal breaker, but once we were inside, we found even more issues. As soon as we opened the door, the house smelled like urine. We went into the primary bedroom to find that a dog had peed all over the boxspring and sheets. Clearly they had not been changed since the previous guests, there was also a used tampon under the bed. The floors were filthy and our bare feet were immediately covered in grime within minutes of walking through the house barefoot. The hot tub had not been turned on. Although the property manager immediately sent a repair man and someone to clean, we continued to find issues. Water poured out of the shower no matter how careful we were. The hot tub, although now heating the water, would shock you when you put your hand in the water, so we had to turn it off. The control panel could be easily removed and was a safety hazard due to water intrusion. There were only salad size plates, and a handful of forks and spoons. In the play structure area, we found dozens of pieces of broken glass, casing from bullets and what looked like little glass viles.
