THE SPACE
Your delightful studio-apartment also has two supportive & amazingly comfortable 'club chairs', plus breakfast bar seating for two in the kitchen area, and a small desk & chair for work or study projects.

There is also an outdoor dining area available that is just a few steps away from your door, with a table for meals.

KITCHEN
The cupboards are stocked with great coffee and a large selection of top quality teas, plus makings for hot cocoa and hot cereals, and a couple of individually sized cold cereals. A few fun snack treats are also provided, along with juices, small bottled waters, half-n-half milkette creamers for cereal & coffee, and more!

The suite has a gas stove and oven - but please do not cook aromatic foods such as bacon or fish that might leave lingering odors. There is also a full refrigerator, a toaster and a microwave oven, along with with plenty of good ground coffee and a cone-filtered easy-to-use coffee making system.

BATH & SHOWERS
Your private bathroom features a large 'two person' tiled shower with two separate shower heads with separate controls for each person and endless hot water.

The bathroom also has loads of extra towels and a few travel necessities such as toothpaste, dental floss, shaving cream & safety razors. (Your hosts provide a few extra blankets too!)

QUIET ROOM
The large living room shown in the pictures is a shared central area that is available from 9 am to 9 pm for reading, relaxation and meditation. Library rules apply in the Quiet Room - so no talking there please!

REAR COURTYARD
The rear courtyard is available from 9:30 am to sunset every day; it can be entered by walking along the fence line on the northwest side of the property. The restricted hours allow for privacy for guests who have rented a suite that opens onto that area.

GENERAL INFORMATION
There is excellent Wi-Fi but no TV, so plan to relax, read or take your coffee out to sit on one of the courtyard benches or chairs overlooking the ocean to enjoy the breathtaking views that include rocky outcroppings and miles of sandy beaches, all with an ever-changing horizon where the Pacific Ocean meets the sky!

In the evening take a glass of wine, or a bottle to share, and watch as the sun sets below the horizon of the truly majestic Pacific Ocean.

When you get up in the morning put on one of the freshly laundered robes with slippers provided by your hosts and relax into your day.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
Your hosts will send links to videos with information about local area attractions, one of which is Harris Beach State Park. It is just a short walk from the property (or a two minute drive) and the sandy beaches, tide pools and rugged coastline there make it delightful to explore.

The magnificent driftwood covered beach at the harbor is just five minutes away, and its only a short drive to scenic rivers & giant redwoods, plus many other attractions mentioned in the host videos.

VIEWS
There is a limited ocean view from inside the unit - see pictures - and there are spectacular ocean views from the "Quiet Room" and from almost everywhere outside (see pictures).

PRIVACY
Guest privacy is absolutely respected at all times.

ABOUT YOUR HOSTS – by Barbara

Patrick & I were (and still are!) grateful & amazed at the good fortune that came our way when we acquired two 'diamond in the rough' coastal properties on the Southern Oregon coast that are right next to each other. Both sit on their own cliffside acre overlooking the vast Pacific Ocean.

We did not plan on being BnB hosts - it just sort of happened - but we are glad it did because we are always delighted to share these amazing properties with our guests.

I was recently retired from a job in the medical field and Patrick had sold his real estate office when, in March of 2019, we found the coastal property we now live in while we on a road trip through Southern Oregon.

The house that is now our home had been on the market 5 years as part of an estate sale & it needed a lot of work, but we loved it the moment we saw it. **We made the best offer we could afford and our offer was accepted! The separate guesthouse that came with it became our first BnB.

Then in 2022 our elderly & very kind next-door neighbor, a widower, decided to move to Portland to be with family. His circa 1950 house also needed a lot of work. We were experienced hosts at that point and we knew the location and layout were absolutely perfect for another BnB. **So Patrick worked out a deal with the seller that included some seller-financing and we bought it. Then we put in granite counter tops, tiled showers, redwood decks, heated floors, bigger windows and much more.

Our objective was to create a magical space where people can come to relax in quiet comfort with lots of privacy & stunning ocean views. It worked out perfectly and now we love sharing these magical side-by-side properties with our guests!
