Renting the property was easy so was checking in but I didnât get to enjoy the stay as I wished, i didnât get to relax due to the cabin having bed bugs. I had informed the host after the first night hoping to be accommodated in a way and wasnât. When I had informed them of the issue they didnât seem to believe me due to my parter not being biten. I told them I believe itâs bed bugs but they told me they havenât heard anything and that it may be me having an allergic reaction to there detergent they use on their sheets. The second night (my last night) I woke up with more bites and didnât get to sleep well again. I informed them on the issue again, I told them I know Iâm checking out today but you may need to get that checked out because I would hate for the next people renting it to have the same experience as me. They just told me they would note it down. I also sent them a picture of the bed bug I found on me. I also took pictures of the bite marks.
My husband and I enjoyed the cabin, it was very private and isolated. The toilet was a little slow to flush but that is the only thing we can complain about. Beautiful surroundings and quiet, adorable little town and close to many other attractions (Maggie Valley, Cherokee) will definitely stay again.
