Dempster cottage is a fully renovated stone farm house located on Buckland Estate which is surrounded in beauty and history. It sleeps up to 3 persons and has a large queen size bedroom plus a single bed in siting area. It has a large ensuite with spa and small fully contained kitchen. From the front verandah you are surrounded by trees, lake and farmland views all with abundant birdlife. You can choose to relax or explore the local heritage towns, wildflowers in season, adventure activities and walking trails.

Buckland escape
Lovely hosts, great communication. Welcomed on arrival to this stunning property. Lovely cottage and we enjoyed a bbq on our verandah each night. We were visited by horses and snd emu over the fence. The cottage itself cosy and comfy. Location close to Northam very convenient. Just go its lovely.

Amazing location and everything you need provided.Dog friendly but there is animals on sight that your fur babies might get to. Take care with that.

Charming and historic
Such a pretty cottage and property! It was a bit like stepping back in time for a short while. The Dempsey was ready on arrival and we met the caretaker. It was quite comfortable but the charm and aesthetics made up for a few small inconveniences. It was a lovely place to relax, take photos and enjoy the countryside. We loved our stay and hope to return one day.

Weekend Getaway
My husband and I had an enjoyable weekend staying in Dempster Cottage. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything you need for a weekend stay. Buckland Estate is central to surrounding towns and wildflower walks.

Rural retreat peaceful and tranquil
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent two night stay at Dempster's Cottage at the Buckland estate. Charming stone cottage with the basic comforts that you need. Ideally situated in the country between Northam and Toodyay there's lots to explore.Russell,our host, his family and everyone we met were so welcoming. Lots of walks to explore, great for our dog to enjoy the space. When the warm summer day was too much a refreshing swim at the pool was welcome. We appreciated the tour of the magnificent property and if you were planning a major function it's a great venue. Really different and enjoyable experience

After being double booked, we got into the cabin the next day after a nice night in the main homestead. The cabin was clean and tidy with little extras to make it homely. It was a lovely Christmas break. Thank you

Nice rural outlook
