Welcome to Southern Comfort Retreat. This spacious 4 Bedroom, 3 Bathroom home is located just minutes from the quaint town of Burnsville and an easy 40 minute drive to Asheville. The location is very private nestled among the trees with the feeling of being away from it all. Plenty of space to gather with family and make memories. Sit on the deck and take in the fresh mountain air or roast marshmallows under a blanket of stars. The location is very private nestled among the trees with the feeling of being away from it all. The location allows access to shopping, Restaurants, Hiking, Mount Mitchell, The Biltmore House, Fishing, tubing and so much more. What are you waiting for? The mountains are calling you!

This home is pet friendly (two pets max) with a large fenced-in area for your pets.

You are reserving a luxury vacation cabin with Pristine Vacation Rentals, the top vacation rental company in the area with 100% customer satisfaction and five star reviews across the board from VRBO, Flipkey etc
A few days prior to your arrival you will receive the cabins address, check-in/check-out instructions, door entry codes, wifi codes, house and property information as well as local suggestions of things to experience. If you reserved the property directly from our website you will receive this information in an email. If reserved the property through a third party platform such as VRBO, Flip Key, etc... They will provide you with this information. When reserved through VRBO the information will be sent to you the message thread where you booked the property and received your reservation confirmation message as well. Please respect the neighbors and clean up after yourselves.

GUESTS ARE EMAILED CODE TO ACCESS, DRIVING DIRECTIONS AND INFORMATION REGARDING THE PROPERTY. PRIOR TO ARRIVAL, NO OFFICE VISIT TO PICK UP KEYS!

DOG fees are extra and NONREFUNDABLE The pet fee $100 is per pet per stay or $109.75 with taxes included. i.e. Any length stays with two dogs equals two pet fees plus taxes which is $219.50. Maximum of TWO dogs!! More than two dogs constitutes prior approval by the homeowner and Pristine Vacation Rentals. DOGS ONLY allowed! No cats, bunnies, birds, or any other animals allowed unless approved by homeowner and Pristine Vacation Rentals.

The following essentials will be provided for you to START your stay. We do not provide essential for your entire stay. This is just to start you off:

*Small Laundry Detergent
*Full Propane tank for gas grills

 that are generally stocked in the fully equipped kitchen.


This is a SMOKE FREE environment! Please don't smoke in the cabin. If you choose to smoke outside please dispose of your cigarette butts.

PHONE SERVICE: Cell phone reception is generally good, but it can be spotty at times. We are in the mountains.

CHILDREN: This house is not child-proofed for young children. There are also no accommodations for babies.

SUPPLIES: Groceries and supplies are available within 5 to 10 miles, but we suggest guests bring what they may need for immediate use so they can stay and relax on the property for their first meals, if so desired.

FIRES: Guests are welcome to use the fire pit year-round. However, we do not provide firewood. You can purchase this at many of the local convenience stations, local grocery stores or Walmart. It's generally around $5 per bundle.

NO SMOKING POLICY due to guest and owner allergies. You will be charged an extra cleaning fee of $200 if you smoke inside the cabin. If you smoke outside please dispose of your cigarette butts properly.

LONG TERM RENTALS: Please send an inquiry for details.

WEATHER: If you would like to know of the upcoming forecast for the local area please feel free to ask and I’ll be happy to provide you with details.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a Ring camera outside by the front door entrance. It does have auto and it records in 20 second intervals.

Weekend Getaway

Large house with plenty of room to spread out. While we congregated in the upstairs living area, there was a great downstairs lounge with ping pong table, sofa and tv to also hang out in. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked.

We rented the home to woodshed our music before recording parts in Asheville, which provided the right isolation and peace to focus. The comms were punctual, and the manager was very accommodating for us when I asked about extending!

Check-in was easy, hosts were very responsive and helpful, space was huge with lots of room to spread out, and downtown Burnsville is lovely and only 10 mins away or less!

Cozy home away from home

The house was actually way bigger in person than i expected which was a pleasant surprise. All the beds and furniture were comfy and cozy. The kitchen was nicely stocked with good cooking equipment. The house was very clean and well taken care of. There are houses around you but its tucked back away in the woods so you wouldn't even know they are there. I would definitely stay here again!

House exactly as listed. House was very large inside, accommodated all. Loved having the living, bedrooms downstairs. Kitchen was very big with extra seating on screened in porch. Loved having a fire pit outside and loved the fireplace in the main living room. Lots of toys, games and pool table to enjoy. I would stay here again!!

Great house!

This house is beautiful and very spacious and well thought out. Our party was 6 so there was one room we didn’t use. Getting there was a little confusing but once we learned it we were fine. It was also great being so close to Burnsville for emergency trips to Ingles. We would definitely rent this place again if we are ever back in Burnsville.

Home Away From Home

Beautiful home exactly as the pictures showed. Fireplace was a lovely setting for relaxing. Very close to town. We loved our stay. Management company provided quick response to questions. Only issue we had was neighbors dogs are allowed to roam the neighborhood (no leash law in NC.) They chased cars and came on the property daily which inhibited our ability to walk our dogs. Oh well...welcome to the mountains of NC.

Awesome experience

Beautiful place and the location was excellent. Not far from the main town of Burnsville where you can't get all your necesssaties and great places to expiere. The outside fire pit with the rocking chairs looking down the hill was gorgeous. How was clean and property manager always kept in touch! Five stars

Comfort in Souther Comfort

The property manager gave us a better arrival route vs GPS. Check in was very easy with the lock box at the front door. We were impressed with the cleanliness and spaciousness upon arrival. Other than a couple of minor maintenance items (stove burner and ice maker), we couldn't have asked for more. A truly delightful way to escape the Florida summer heat. We hope to visit again.

It was a great stay!

We had a wonderful time here on this property. Plenty of room for everyone and the basement space for the kids was really nice! It was very clean and comfortable. Nice to have a grill outside. It is located a distance off the road and very quiet. Nice to be close to Mt Mitchell and surrounding hiking areas. There are a lot of activities for the kids and the town of Burnsville is really nice! Grocery store is close by. Only suggestion we would make is that the deck could use updated and more chairs and maybe a table. The refrigerator did not seal so we had to constantly check it. And one burner did not work on the oven. We also did not realize we would need to take the garbage to a collection center and only two bags were allowed to be left at the home. But once we figured that out, it was fine. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would recommend this home to others! Thank you!

Southern Comfort

Southern Comfort lives up to the name. We truly enjoyed our time here and loved the home. Might have to come back so I can enjoy the Master Tub. 3 yr old Loved it. Everything was well appointed and managers were great.

Excellent getaway!

Southern Comfort Retreat was an absolute wonderful property! It was VERY clean and had everything the listing claimed. We couldn't find the ping pong paddles and the property manager was very responsive and more then helpful! Five Star rating all the way around. We will definitely be returning.

Secluded private get away

Very spacious home with all the amenities you could need, had a fantastic time and got some much-needed rest. We would definitely recommend to others and would come back and visit again. Burnsville is a quaint small town it has plenty to do and the people there are very friendly.
