Great hotel

The hotel is set in lovely grounds, very quiet, the rooms are a good size but was very hot woth both radiators on full and took a couple of hours to cool down with the windows open. The bed could be bigger and is quite firm so not very comfortable unless you like that. The room was clean, plenty of towels and loo roll would definitely stay again

Well worth the stay

My stay was amazing, the staff were friendly and willing to help whenever asked. My daughter is in hospital in North Manchester General so i didnt actually spend much time at the hotel, however breakfast and evening meal consumed, the sea bass and king prawn linguine was amazing tho it did need seasoning, breakfast was ok, though i like my black pudding sliced thicker that way its crispy on the outside but still soft in the middle allowing you to actually taste it. Servers very friendly and polite and took comments back to the chef. My daughter is up here for a while so will be a weekly 3 nightly stop for me

Not business traveller friendly

Very disappointing 3-day stay for a business trip. Experience is totally dependent on occupancy. The kitchen does not open if low occupancy, expect a basic, bland offering of soup and sandwiches. Limited menu other days (3 options). Maintenance don’t bother to respond to maintenance requests, so cold shower two days running. Room desk/dressing table far too high to be usable as a work desk. The executive room has a good standard of decor but the bathroom is tired and worn.

Great value for money hotel

Great hotel at a good price. The hotel has excellent amenities such as Spa, Gym, Restaurant etc which we used during our stay. The spa is a good size with a nice pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna which we enjoyed. We ate food in the restaurant and it was really nice. The bedrooms are a little dated and they did get abit hot during the night but we slept ok. Would definitely use this hotel again

Nice hotel with good facilities

Lovely hotel, rooms were comfortable and clean and the staff were polite and helpful the spa facilities were a great bonus and were easy to access, clean and well maintained. We ate in the bar and the food was good too. The only thing extra would have been a hairdryer in the room but its not an issue, would recommend and would stay again.
