This is a really great place to stay if you are bringing multiple kids and don’t want to worry about fragile decor! No knick knacks or glass frame art. The main living area is wide open and spacious, comfortable couch and large tvs everywhere. Great basement space for play and an amazing outdoor space for your explorers. Expect the house to be a little rough around the edges (finishes, previous guest damage, some cleaning spots), but we were ok with it because it didn’t feel as fragile with children around. Some of the pictures show different furniture but that’s the rental business, stuff needs replacing and we were happy. Beds were very comfortable and rooms were spacious. The best part was the communication with the host so ask a lot of questions and they will be helpful. Pools in this community are all over and different for any mood. We did a canoe tour in Shawnee and hiked to a smaller waterfall to avoid crowds. Great ice cream and shopping within driving distance. We spent a lot of time on the deck with surprisingly few mosquitos (August) probably because of the height of the deck. The close neighbors were only there on the weekends but their lights stay on 24/7, not too bothersome but good to know. We enjoyed our week immensely and count it as one of our best vacations!
