Point Break is a charming lower-level round cottage located just two cottages back from the ocean, offering a sweeping panoramic ocean view. Thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation, this 2-bedroom retreat is ideal for families or small groups seeking a scenic coastal escape.

The layout includes a king master suite with a private bath and a second bedroom furnished with two double beds, along with a full hall bath. The home comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests.

The bright and open living space features a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable seating with plush sofas, and ocean views that can be enjoyed from the main living area.

Guests have access to resort-style amenities, including a pool and spa, fish cleaning stations, private parking, and outdoor hot and cold showers. Point Break is a wonderful home base for enjoying everything Hatteras Island has to offer.

We had a terrific stay. The unit was clean and perfect for my family of 4. Location was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a minor issue with the unit and the staff made an immediate response and resolved the issue. Staff was very pleasant and professional. Very clean!

I was very impressed with the cleanliness of this cottage! It was also updated which was a nice change from where we typically stay. I loved the walkability of multiple restaurants around this property as well. The ease of getting on/off the beach with a toddler was exactly what we were looking for as some oceanfront houses in the area have larger dunes to go over, presenting a challenge with young children and all the necessities that go along with them. We would definitely stay at this property again!

OBX Buxton

Very clean property, and plenty of space for the 3 of us. The views are awesome and it’s a very very short walk to the beach. Trash pickup here is anywhere from 2-4 am so if you hear something loud that’s what it is. If you stay on a Monday or Tuesday there are not a lot of restaurants open so just keep that in mind. Fortunately the unit has a full kitchen so you can cook something if needed. This unit does have a unit above it so keep that in mind if you are renting the bottom one. When we booked it I didn’t realize there was a unit above us. Thankfully the family above us wasn’t too loud.

The Round house was great. Paper towels and dishwasher detergent were provided. Alot of space.

Everything was great except for our king mattress. It was very lumpy and uncomfortable. I dont like to complain when I stay somewhere. Just a suggestion for the future.

Beach oasis

We had no idea how close we were to the beach until we arrived. The panoramic views of the ocean were spectacular and we enjoyed having access to a pool and hot tub. The unit was cozy and clean. I would recommend adding more storage somewhere for groceries and perhaps a hook by the door for keys, jackets etc. Be mindful that it seems that trash trucks come through in the middle of the night to empty dumpsters so you may be awakened by that noise. Overall though, a great stay!
