Hotel is is charming and very old with a lot of character and in a great location . All staff except 1 barman were helpful and friendly . Our room was very hot and dark and also very noisy as over the main bar and entrance door there was no way round this so we didn’t sleep well at all . Other rooms may not have this problem but ours certainly did .

If you’re looking for a historic experience while visiting the castle, you can’t get better than this Inn. It’s obviously been modernized, but eating downstairs has such a tavern feel to it. The portions are huge and the food is delicious especially the welsh pie and soups. Within the castle walls, you’ll have an array of local shops and pubs to frequent after touring the castle. Enjoy a walk along the water. As others have mentioned, there are stairs and it can be a bit of a maze to get to your room. I was worried but this actually did not bother me. As long as you can lift your suitcase up stairs, you’ll be fine.

We stayed two nights and we had a very comfortable time. Our room was spacious. The property is well kept-better than many other historic hotels we’ve stayed at in the past. The breakfast was good and the snack selection in the bar was good. We didn’t eat a meal, but the nachos were delicious. The best thing about this place were the staff. Every person we talked to was friendly, helpful and efficient. A special shout out to Delwyn and Eryl for making our visit memorable.

One of the oldest Inn’s in Wales. Inside the Castle walls and totally unique. An awesome cute tiny pub and they say the Inn has a resident ghost! Only a 5 minute walk to Castle Caernarfon which is an amazingly well preserved castle from 1283.

Super Welsh welcome

Great weekend in Caernarfon. Accidentally booked to stay the weekend of the food festival but we got a call to give us advice on parking and arriving super early to beat the crowds which was very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We were in the townhouse round the corner from the pub and the room was lovely, very clean and spacious! The staff were very helpful and welcoming too! Highly recommend!
