If you are that kind of a person who is ready for an adventure, who doesn’t mind the splendid charme of a low-budget stay with little amenities but appreciates to be super close to the main attraction, the Cairo Pyramids View Inn is your place. The pros: Free airport pick up and drop off is just great and makes your life so much easier. Also, the Inn location, which is a 5min walk to the pedestrian entrance near the sphinx and pyramids, is unbeatable. The view from the roof terrace is breathtaking, sphinx and the Giza pyramids are right there. The staff is very friendly and helpful and if you don't plan too much ahead, rest assured the owner organizes tours to the ancient sites, museums and city, which is awesome. The owner also reaches out to you way ahead of your trip to check arrival times, your plans etc. which is very much appreciated. The downs: If you are someone who is looking for any kind of regular-hotel-like place or luxury, it might be advisable to go somewhere else. Also, the Expedia description does not fully match the reality on the ground. My room and bathroom were ok and clean. One thing though, the smell in the bathroom, seemingly coming from the canalization was impossible to ignore and then there was this huge mouse in my room.

The location to the pyramids is fantastic with incredible view. The listing was not accurate in many details. The owner kindly allowed me to cancel my reservation after the first night because it is over an hour drive to my daily meetings.

Very very very bad!

The worst hostel I have ever seen! Very very very dirty. It is staying in a small road where there are the horse and Camel stables. You will never find this place unless you take the taxi supplied by the hostel. The road is full of horse and camel excrements and when you walk you have to be very careful. The only good thing is the terrace where you have a nice view but the problem is that never clean anything and on the chairs there is one finger of dust. The owner was very unpleasant. He wanted we do as he likes. But we were the customers! The breakfast ((according the owner) is at 9.00 am. We asked to have before (8.00am) because after that time is very warm. The first day we didn’t get any breakfast, the day after (due to our complains) we got one coffee and a croissant. I complained that from my room sink (302) was not coming water. They checked but didn’t do anything. A good suggestion: don’t go there or you will regret.

They try to make money out of everything

I do not recommend this hotel. Staff is only approaching you to sell another tour, to change money or something else they can make money with. The view is excellent but the hotel is in an overall bad condition. As said, the see you as somebody who brings money and not as a valuable guest.

Vue imprenable sur les pyramides de Ghizey

Un petit hôtel remarquablement situé avec vue imprenable sur les pyramides. Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour avec une visite du plateau des pyramides de Ghizey, une guide francophone, un chauffeur très prudent + déjeuner dans un super restaurant Valley of the King. On reviendra pour goûter cette ambiance authentique loin des clichés.
