Great Stay!!

We stayed for 3 Nights at this Hotel... We originally booked for 2, but had car issues and had to stay another night... The staff were AMAZING!!  and gave us a discounted rate for the unexpected day. We were greeted pleasantly by everyone from the Chambermaids on up to the Manger and Concierge EVERY time we saw them!  The room was great!  Very clean, The beds were SO comfortable!!!  If we could have smuggled one out we would have :-)  best sleep we have ever had at a hotel!  The air conditioning was SO quiet you could hardly hear it  (usually sounds like a diesel engine in the room!)  We did not eat at the restaurant, but were told by several guests that it was amazing. Pool was nice. Would rate higher if we could

Non caring staff - lovley hotel

Sadly despite the excellent quality of this facility the staff did not live up to any expectations. When we arrived the front desk was packed with people. There appeared to be very little organization. The staff were pleasent. However, we were given our room keys and told they had no one to help with bags and no more baggage carts availiable. Upon walking into our room we were rather impressed until we discovered clothes in the closet. We were given someone else's room. The front desk promptly moved us to another room with no mention, like this happens everyday?? Should that be not enough upon ordering roomservice we were given bland and a very cold sandwich with garlic sauce (no mention of this on the menu and doesn't help when you have an allergy). Despite all this we woke up happy after a good night rest only to find (after showering of course) we had one towel for two people and no conditioner in our room. After proceeding downstairs hoping to enjoy our "included" breakfast, we found out breakfast was over. There as no mention of where to go for breakfast or when breakfast started or ended when checking in. We were told we could have lunch for over $20.00 per person. We had finally had enough, we checked out. The manager that checked us out didn't even bother to ask how our stay was. When I spoke up and mentioned our disappointment his only comment was to snicker and say "Oh yeah I remember we gave you guys the wrong room". I have stayed at Holiday Inns and even a Super 8 with way way better service. Save your money stay somewhere they actually care!

Friendly staff, dirty room.

Pros: Quiet
Upon arrival the staff were very courteous. Once settled in, I found the room to be dirty. Under the bed "skirt" were small pieces of garbage. The toilet seat was also soiled from a previous user and never cleaned. I had to wash the seat before I sat on it. Disgusting. And the fan in the washroom did not work. I believe I stayed in 517A. Though it was only est 15C outside, we slept with the windows and curtains open due to the room heat. The pool was beautiful though. Fantastic. Also, the lack of plug-ins for cell phones etc was annoying. Lastly, the elevator door closed on me while I was normally walking in. It knocked me off balance and my shoulder/back are still sore 7 days later.

Needs updating

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet
Cons: Nothing close, Noisy, the beds are not great
If you are going to the airport - this is a good hotel to stay at. They provide free shuttle service to and from the airport, and do allow free parking while you are away. The staff are friendly, and they do provide a free breakfast. On the downside - the hotel is not what it used to be. They used to have a wonderful restaurant, and clean and tidy rooms. The hotel is in desperate need of updating. The rooms are not particularly clean, and unless you stay in the upper level rooms, the beds are sagged out, and the sheets are not great - not a high end sleep! The air conditioner in our room was terribly loud. We used to be a member of their loyalty program, which provided express check in - but you must stay every year or you lose your membership. The restuarant is just so-so, and there is no early service, so if you are taking an early flight, you can't get breakfast. Also, the hotel is quite a drive from the airport, so unless you want the free parking, it might not be worth the stay.

Bugs

Pros: Nice location, nice rooms (if the bugs were taken care of), nice cleaning staff.
Cons: Get rid of the bugs and do something to make up for this!
Location: It was in NE Calgary.
During our stay, we found a large bug on the table. We just killed it and thought it was a one time thing. We then found another smaller bug on top of the bed. We killed it and gave it to the person at the front desk when we checked out. He told us that it is because of the bad weather lately. I mentioned that there are no bugs in my house and we have the same weather. Nothing was done, no discount offered or anything. Disappointing.

Pros: Location. Comfort. Lounge. Parking.
Cons: Toilet leaked. Lights on wall behind beds didn't work.
Location: Arrived here from Provincial Dinosaur Park. Also visited Banff, Lake Louise, Columbia Ice Field, Smashing Heads Buffalo Run, and Fred Slide earlier.
Stayed one night for a very early AM flight. Hotel was fine for the purpose. The room was comfortable.
