The Space:
Arrive at Villa Blanco and be captivated by its modern architecture and the beautifully landscaped grounds, where manicured potted plants adorn the patios and decks, leading to the majestic redwood trees that embrace the property.
Step inside this stunning home and discover expansive living areas thoughtfully designed for comfort and style. The main level welcomes you with a large vaulted ceiling great room, offering captivating views of Mt. St. Helena through picture glass windows. This inviting space features two distinct seating areas: one arranged around a fireplace, perfect for cozy ambiance and enjoying the outdoor scenery, and another dedicated to a TV viewing area that seamlessly opens to the outdoor patio and BBQ.
The well-outfitted kitchen is a chef's delight, boasting modern stainless steel appliances, an island with a sink, and ample counter space for preparing delicious meals. A convenient bar with seating for three offers a casual spot for conversation while the cooking unfolds. Adjacent to the kitchen is a large formal dining room with a table seating eight, ideal for memorable gatherings.
Step outside onto the wrap-around deck and enjoy panoramic views overlooking the sparkling blue heated swimming pool, perfect for wading, floating, or swimming laps. From this vantage point, you can also admire the meticulously manicured landscaping and the natural beauty of the Calistoga countryside. The outdoor dining area on the patio features a table for six and a propane BBQ, perfect for alfresco meals. PLEASE NOTE: The swimming pool is only available between May 1st through October 1st.
The main level also includes a convenient laundry room, a half-bath, and an en-suite bedroom with a relaxing tub and a separate rear entrance for added privacy.

The pool and connected jacuzzi were disgustingly dirty and littered with live worms. And the patio furniture was dirty as well. When I contacted the host their response was that we shouldn’t be using the pool area this time of year. However their instructions state that the in ground jacuzzi is usable year-round. So that didn’t make sense and instead of being apologetic and service oriented they went on the offensive. It was strange. Additionally we got locked out of the master bathroom due to a faulty lock. I personally own apartment buildings and a bathroom lock should not be able to do what it did. When I contacted the host, Jordan said “I don’t see how that’s on us”. I was taken aback. I had implore them to have someone repair it so we could access our bathroom. It took hours before it was repaired. We were not able to use the bathroom until late in the morning. We still can’t believe that we were blamed for locking ourselves out of the bathroom! That was not okay. Lastly there were no detailed instructions how to use the above ground jacuzzi. Got little assistance. Ultimately I figured it out but it required finding other equipment away from the jacuzzi that really required written step by step instructions; that didn’t exist. Our experience with Jordan was as if they had never been to the property themselves and knew nothing about it. And certainly didn’t like hearing about problems and dealt with us in a very unprofessional and sophomoric manner.

My husband, son, his partner and I stay at this house near Calistoga in mid May. We purposely stayed there as the property had a pool and spa for our use. We enjoyed the spa daily, the pool was still in the process of warming up for the season so it was a bit too cold for my taste but my husband used it. NOTE: It would be nice to have instructions on how to use the pool remote. The positives of this property besides the pool and spa, was basically how spacious it was, lots of separate areas to have time with family, friends and children. All the bedrooms had ensuite bathrooms with an additional 1/2 bath on the main level and another bath for rinsing off after the pool was used. The kitchen was large and well appointed, we cooked in house one night. There were many places to dine, one inside and two outside. We did not bring young children with us, but if we'd had them this house would have been ideal as there was a separate "game or play" room off the pool deck that would have suited children and teens. The only annoying aspect of the property we found was the automatic sensor lights over the toilets were extremely bright for nighttime use and stayed on for a long time. We highly recommend this house for friends and family gatherings where a lot of space is required. It was very private and quiet. Beds were comfortable. We'd stay here again.
