Cozy Family-Friendly Riverfront Home. Perfect Setting for All Celebrations!

Experience the river life of Camanche with this completely remodeled 100 year old two story home on the Mississippi. Small house that feels large with lots of seating areas to relax and read a book or take a cat nap. This house has panoramic views up and down the river with a completely new kitchen and new bathrooms. Enjoy the sunrise over the river with all new windows across the backside of the house. Bring your boat as the public boat dock is adjacent to the property or just enjoy watching the boat traffic go by and waving to the friendly boaters. The house is in a perfect location on 1st Street near small parks and the public library and dock. There is a large front porch on the street side where you can sit and watch the many walkers and runners using the bike path.
On the river side of the house there is an open back yard with a picnic table and a small fire pit for fires. The house is also within walking distance to a nearby pub with coffee shops and convenience stores seven short blocks away. This is a house for all seasons! Great for families or group gatherings.

We felt welcomed as soon as we stepped inside. The home is clean and inviting. The river view is quite the draw. It was our 2nd time staying at this home and felt very much at home. Out host was responsive to any questions we had and was very kind. A wonderful place to stay and relax.

Property exactly as advertised. All 3 bedrooms had comfortable beds even the bunk beds. Lower bunk was a double bed. The kitchen and bathrooms were all stocked and ready for us. The gas grill, dishwasher, and washer/dryer came in handy. Beautiful view from back of the house and 2 of the bedrooms. This location is perfect for a relaxing vacation. Accomendating owners, we highly recommend this property. A

We reserved the Riverfront Home to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of my parents. My brother and I (their children) joined them for the stay so that we could all celebrate this milestone anniversary as a family. This house is in immaculate condition. The restoration and updates made to this home bring it into the modern era of conveniences and technology while still respecting and paying homage to the history of the home. The kitchen, with it's large granite island and complete set of appliances, made cooking and serving family meals a breeze. We enjoyed eating at the provided picnic table or dining table so we could look out over the water as we dined. This trip will certainly be a memory we will cherish as a family.

Home is maintained beautifully. Appreciated the step by step house instructions. Loved the location as it was peaceful but close enough to stores to get anything you might need. Loved the view of the river from both inside and outside of the home. Kitchen was equipped with all newer appliances and everything you may need. My husband and I enjoyed our stay.

Cozy property with a great view of the Mississippi! Who needs tv? The mattresses were firm and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pantry staples. The hosts were kind and communicative. Will definitely stay here again if we're in the area.

Amazing Family Getaway!!

We had a wonderful time at this charming home on the Mississippi in Camanche! The home was just perfect for my family to catch up and spend together. We spent lots of time watching the wildlife that calls the Mississippi River home and the neighborhood was very quiet and a safe area to stroll in the evenings. We will be back!

Graduation weekend

We had a great time with family and friends. It was a great place to gather, relax, play games, and have meals. The kitchen was perfect for food prep and there are plenty of spaces to gather together or to sneak away and be alone. It is in an inviting quiet part of town. We enjoyed watching the river traffic from the backyard.

perfect home with great view

met here for a family gathering elsewhere in the town. this is the perfect home for a couple with another or a kid or two. the view of the river is awesome and the wildlife was abundant. the owners were easy to work with. the only caveat would be if you have trouble with steps all the rooms are on the second floor so this is a consideration for some people with mobility issues I would suppose.

Beautiful Riverside Property

We were in town for a funeral and needed space for an unknown number of people and a kitchen to cook for the whole funeral. This place was perfect for that and more. Waking up to a wonderful view of the river every morning was an absolute joy.

Great views and comfortable home

Walked in the door to a warm and very clean home. There was a small Christmas tree lit and a sign welcoming us to the home. The house instruction book was very helpful. We all enjoyed having our space. Two of the bedrooms overlooked the Mississippi River. It was a relaxing view. We only ate breakfast at the house, as we were visiting with family and ate the other meals offsite. The first floor was cozy and had a wonderful view. If we were visiting in the summer we definitely would take advantage of the fire pit and outside seating. We enjoyed our visit and would recommend this site to future visitors to the area.
