A beautiful and sympathetically restored Georgian home on the lovely Midsummer Common in Cambridge. Whether you enjoy the feeling of 200 year old floorboards under your feet, watching cows graze or visiting the historic Cambridge Colleges, this home offers a rare opportunity to experience the city centre, nature and the past all at the same time.
The home has two double bedrooms and one bathroom; it is ideal for 2 - 4 people.
The house is East-West facing. The kitchen is filled with light in the morning and the drawing room has a view of the sunset over the common in the evening.
The interior has many original features, including exposed brick, chestnut lath walls, lime plaster and antique Georgian floorboards. These traces of the past tell the story of the house. The furniture is sympathetic and simple - carefully chosen to create a peaceful and escapist experience. There is a small garden with a lawn and roses at the front of the house; this is a lovely place to spend time watching the life of the common.
The house does not have a TV. This is intentional, so that the house and it’s surroundings can be fully experienced. There is superfast WiFi for home working and video streaming on personal devices. We also provide games and a picnic basket.
