Accommodation

The beautiful kitchen is well-equipped for cooking up your favourite meals. Enjoy your feast indoors or alternatively, cook outside on the barbecue and dine under the stars on the furnished terrace.

Master double bedroom with ensuite large bathroom with bathtub and shower. 1 bedroom with double bed and another bedroom featuring twin beds. Full shower room to be shared between the 2 bedrooms. Each of the 3 bedrooms have large glass doors from which you can admire the unique views to the ocean.
Exterior
Well kept mature garden, sunbathing terrace with bbq, excellent for al fresco dining. The private swimming pool is of irregular shape. Car parking.
Extremely easy to reach (only a 50 minute drive from Porto international airport) this villa is situated 4 kms away from the white sandy beaches of Caminha, a charming traditional Portuguese fortified border town steeped in history, where several battles were fought between Portugal and Spain. Nowadays, this town enjoys much more friendly relations with its neighbour and there are taxi-boats linking the two banks of the river. Standing on a tiny island in the middle of the estuary are the ruins of the fort of Ínsua, built to defend the entrance to the river in the fifteenth century.
The sands of Vila Praia de Âncora (10 minutes away from the villa) extend from the fishing port over to the Âncora river which reaches the coast here after its 15 kilometre descent through the Serra de Arga hills, an attractive natural environment, which features some good walking conditions. This enormous beach experiences some strong Atlantic waves which means high quality surfing. This town is also famous for the variety of good seafood and fresh fish restaurants.
Extra services are available on request such as Chef for traditional Portuguese cuisine, winetasting courses, masseur, beautician, organisation of guided tours to nearby attractions with stops in typical places and local olive oil and wine tasting, horse riding, golf, water sports, etc.

Amazing place in every way.
The best house and location for a perfect holiday.
Wonderful location- well equipped and gorgeous views. Just to aware the windows in the bedrooms are floor to ceiling and there are no guards or shields. This makes for wonderful views but are not practical for small children. The same with the terrace overlooking the pool.Location wise you cannot fault this property. It was also well equipped.Unfortunately the cleanliness let it down. Parts of the house had not been cleaned- there was a lot of dust and hair under beds and rubbish had been left. Really quite disappointing for a property of this calibre.During our stay some minor issues occurred that needed to be dealt with- communication was good and issues swiftly sorted.I did delay posting this review as I was awaiting a response from Distinctive Portugal regarding the cleanliness of the property. Unfortunately since I have not received a response I am passing on my experience with the company. Hopefully this was a one off glitch, but it was really a very poor clean which did affect our stay.

TRAUMHAFT
Das Haus und die Aussicht sind unvergleichlich schön!
Wir haben uns sofort sehr zu Hause gefühlt.
Alles sehr geschmackvoll: die Architektur die Einrichtung,die Farben.
Leider war die Heizung nicht in Betrieb, obwohl es ohne Unterbruch geregnet hat, und nachts zum Teil nur 14° Außentemperatur herrschten. Im Haus wurde es dadurch sehr kühl. die Vermietungsagentur beschied mir, dass ich die Heizung im Voraus hätte reservieren, respektive buchen müssen. Jetzt sei es nicht mehr möglich die Heizung einzuschalten.
Nach einigen unschönen Diskussionen, wurde die Heizung dann aber doch gestartet.
Dafür mussten wir separat bezahlen.
Das ist eigentlich in Ordnung, aber es wurde behauptet, dass in der Beschreibung des Hauses stünde, dass man die Heizung im Voraus buchen muss.
Schlussendlich kosteten uns fünf Tage Heizung bei Außentemperaturen von nachts bis 14° und tagsüber 20°, 300 €.
Das war es uns jedoch wert, denn so war es
trotz Regen und schlechten Wetters behaglich im Haus.
Was man auch wissen muss, ist, Dass das Haus an einer sehr steilen Kopfsteinpflasterstraße liegt.
Bei glitschiger Straße allenfalls schwierig zu bewältigen.
Achtung! In der letzten Linkskurve bevor man zum Haus kommt, hat es links einen Absatz mit einer kleinen Rampe.
Dort habe ich mir meinen Reifen aufgerissen.
Ich kam also mit einem platten Reifen beim Haus an.
Die Mitarbeiterin der Agentur meinte dazu nur lakonisch, dass ihr dies auch schon passiert sei.
