Vacation rental from HELL!!!!
At our arrival everything seemed alright until it started raining and water started coming in through the ceiling. We had water coming through different spots throughout the apartment. I contacted the host to open the laundry room so we could do something about it ourselves, we needed buckets, brooms and mops. I received a replay back until the following day saying someone was going to come to open it and no one ever came to open the laundry room ever. We asked the guard for anything he could have that would help us and we borrowed buckets, a mop and a broom from him. We used all of the towels we had to contain the water and ended up with nothing to use for our showers, we went to the store to buy beach towels to use for our showers. I contacted the host again and her response was that because of the rain the city got shot down and the cleaning lady couldn’t come in due to the holiday. There is just no excuses to stop providing a service just because some light rain and a holiday. By the way, a picture of the laundry room was included in the advertisement when we decided to rent this apartment but the door was locked upon our arrival.
There was another water leak unrelated to the rain in the upstairs bathroom next to the kitchen that would get our pants wet if we weren’t careful. Some of the light fixtures had burned light bulbs, the bathroom located by the entrance has almost no lights, it is almost completely dark.
I have used Vrbo several times in several trips to Cancun, Akumal, Cabo and Miami and never had to put a bad review, my review deserves no stars but I’m unable to put zero stars. The management of this place is very poor or non existent.
We all put a good deal of thought, planing and money into our vacations trying to make memories, have a wonderful time, and create a sense of wonder that will follow you home. We did make memories but not positive ones from this place from hell.
