Amazing villa, superb views, close to village, private pool

Nestled in the mountains, just a 15-minute walk from the pretty whitewashed village of Canillas de Aceituno, Villa Amores has spectacular panoramic views over the Sierra de Tejeda to the blue Mediterranean in the distance.

The house offers spacious accommodation and wonderful seclusion, perfect for those looking for contemporary comforts combined with rustic charm.

The ground floor is built in an open-plan layout. The comfortable and spacious living room has a central fireplace. Adjacent to the living room is the dining room and a fully equipped kitchen.
The interior is light and airy with beamed ceilings and French doors from the living-dining room open onto two terraces, where you can enjoy the beautiful views, relax, unwind, sip a cocktail or a glass of wine and enjoy the sunset.

In the hallway you will find the family bathroom with bath and shower, a downstairs bedroom (2 single beds), and the stairs to the top floor.

Upstairs, the landing leads to 2 more bedrooms (both doubles). Both bedrooms have their own dressing rooms and en-suite shower rooms.

Both bedrooms have access to a very large roof terrace, with stunning views of the valley, the Mediterranean, the village and the Sierra de Tejada mountains.

The living room and bedrooms benefit from fully equipped air conditioning, which also has a heating function. In addition, we have underfloor heating during the winter - November to March.

Outside, the covered terrace has a built-in electrical barbecue making it ideal for outdoor cooking, and the walled pool/sun terrace with an 8 x 4 pool ...
In summer the pool is heated naturally by the sun, in spring, autumn and winter the pool is not heated.

A winding path leads down from the upper terrace to the rest of the garden, including terraces, hammock, our "retreat tree", a small grove of carob, almond and olive trees.

The house is within walking distance of the picturesque village of Canillas de Aceituno. The village has a good variety of shops, bars, restaurants and other amenities. It is one of the most beautiful villages in the region. More shops and restaurants can be found in the nearby village of Vinuela.

Velez-Malaga and Torre del Mar are a 20-minute drive away and the Mediterranean Sea is just a 30-minute drive away.

Maison Andalouse typique ,éloignée des grosses stations balnéaires bruyantes. La vue est absolument magnifique , le jardin luxuriant invite à la détente. Il rÚgne un calme absolu, parfait pour se reposer. La maison est trÚs agréablement décorée et tout est prévu , il ne manque rien pour le déroulement du séjour.

Jolie vue. Maison trĂšs propre, de qualitĂ©. Jardin arborĂ©. Terrasses (en bas prĂšs de la piscine et en haut devant les chambres) trĂšs agrĂ©ables avec des petites lumiĂšres le soir. Bon Ă©quipement. Bel accueil. Les propriĂ©taires rĂ©pondent rapidement Ă  toutes les sollicitations. MĂ©nage compris dans le prix. Trois bĂ©mols : La piscine aurait pu ĂȘtre un peu plus chaude. Le chemin d'accĂšs est rudimentaire. La literie est un peu molle. TrĂšs bon sĂ©jour dans l'ensemble. Rapport qualitĂ© prix excellent.

TrÚs agréable séjour.

La villa est exactement comme le descriptif, tout est est fonctionnel et la vue est Ă  couper le souffle. La piscine Ă©tant chauffĂ©e, nous avons pu en profiter pleinement, mĂȘme le soir en rentrant de nos visites. Depuis la villa, nous avons pu visiter Grenade, Cordoue, SĂ©ville, Caminito del rei, nous Ă©tions Ă  environ 2h de routes de chacune de nos visites. Nous recommandons fortement cette villa et nous y reviendrons avec plaisir si l'occasion se prĂ©sente.

This was a late booking and communication with the owners was great from the start. The instructions were faultless and help was given on a hire car.The property is in the mountains and the drive to the property has great views and was easy (around one hour to Malaga airport). The villa, gardens and pool area were great. The villa is very well equipped and is like a home from home. Three bedrooms, three bathrooms, lovely modern kitchen and every utensil you would ever need. Furniture, furnishings and decor were perfect. It is by far the best villa we have stayed at over the years. We spent most of our time round the pool area - with spectacular views over the “campo”.We stocked up with food at a big supermarket then drove int9 the village every other day to top up. The butcher’s shop was good but the highlight was the bakery - El_Soyuco - gorgeous pistachio croissants and cheesecakes. Do not miss out on that shop. We also had a lovely meal at The Secret Garden.We had a day in Malaga, a trip to Antequera and a trip to Nerja caves. Temperatures were around 29 degrees all the time.All in all a great holiday for our family of three (all adults). Many thanks to everyone - owners and greeters.

Fantastic, the views from villa amores were stunning and the actual property was outstanding. If I was to give it a negative it would be the initial drive up to villa but once you got used to the roads it was ok.

Villa Amores: Thuiskomen in Luxe en Comfort

Villa Amores is een heerlijk gezinshuis, voorzien van alle gemakken die je nodig hebt voor een ontspannen vakantie. Vanaf het moment dat je binnenstapt, voel je je direct thuis. We werden hartelijk ontvangen door Martin, die ons een rondleiding gaf en de omgeving toelichtte. De steile toegangsweg is netjes verhard, wat het goed begaanbaar maakt. Binnen valt meteen de lichte, open benedenverdieping op, dankzij de vele ramen. De keuken is volledig uitgerust voor het bereiden van heerlijke Spaanse maaltijden. In het nabijgelegen dorp zijn echter ook voldoende restaurants voor als je liever uit eten gaat. De ruime overkapping aan de woonkamer biedt een fantastisch uitzicht en een grote 12-persoons tafel om van maaltijden te genieten. De elektrische barbecue maakt buiten koken eenvoudig. Het zwembad ligt iets los van het zitgedeelte; hoewel groot en uitnodigend, hebben we er minder gebruik van gemaakt. Op de begane grond is een slaapkamer met badkamer. Wij sliepen echter boven, waar twee slaapkamers met airco en nieuwe badkamers zijn. De bedden zijn comfortabel en er is genoeg kastruimte, zelfs voor twee tieners. Het grote balkon biedt een schitterend uitzicht over de bergen. Kortom, Villa Amores is een heerlijke plek waar je je snel thuis voelt. Perfect voor een ontspannen gezinsvakantie.

Return to Villa Amores

We had two weeks of rest and relaxation in this wonderful villa. Our second visit and the changes made by the new owners have made the experience more enjoyable (electric barbecue is excellent and overcomes local fire restrictions). We will never tire of the peace and tranquility plus wonderful views across the mountains to the sea.

Great villa - great view

The villa is very well equipped (especially the kitchen) and the internal space is very comfortable. The terrace and pool area is ideal for a family group, with a good outdoor dining space and fantastic panoramic views over the surrounding hills. The villa's orientation makes it great for enjoying the sunset from the terrace. The garden is also lovely and well maintained (albeit on a steep slope). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Perfection!!

Our stay was nothing short of perfect!! We played in the pool like small kids (we are 3 generations of women), slept like babies in the rural quiet and made lovely dinners from local ingredients from the village. The tiny town the villa is a part of is something out of a movie, the mountains -marvelous and the ease of travel in and around the area -incredible. We can’t say enough positive things about the place!!

Fantastic villa in a stunning location.

The property was excellent. The location was stunning and was a great base for visiting other tourist areas. The beds were super comfy and we loved that there were essentials provided such as toilet roll, kitchen roll, washing up liquid and cloths, dishwasher tablets cling film, salt, pepper, oil etc. The pool was great for cooling off. The small road leading up to the villa was a little terrifying as I don't like heights, but my husband, who was driving, said it was fine. The rooms were hot at night, despite the aircon, but then Spain was experiencing a heat wave at the time of our stay. The villa was a real home from home and beautifully decorated with locely finishing touches. The brand new bathrooms were fantastic! We would definitely recommend.

Off the beaten track........ but wow

The villa itself is very well presented with 3 spacious bedrooms, nice open living / dining and kitchen area and a great outdoors communal area for eating, relaxing, topped off with a fair sized pool. The upstairs bedrooms share a large balcony and the nightsky view from there is spectacular. It is a tricky drive initially to get there but you do get used to this and when you arrive you are met with spectacular scenery making it very worthwhile! Just ensure you hire an adequate car. There is a nice village 5 min drive away, with a few bars and restaurants but plan ahead and get your bulk provisions on route as the village only has a very limited selection. Don't worry all of this information is made clear by the owners if you book including good directions on how to get there and where the nearest supermarket is on route etc. In summary this is not a beach location and beaches are around 45 mins drive. But it is a tranquil, resplendent setting that makes this space a little more special, a great find.

Prachtig verblijf!

Weekje hier gezeten met 2 volwassenen en 5 tieners. Wat een comfortabele villa! Met een van de mooiste uitzichten ooit. Nabij een authentiek Spaans dorp. Wij hebben hier echt genoten!

Fantastic Stay at Vila Amores

A Fantastic house with a nice view and quietness. We were traveling with our sons at 14 and 16 years with their friend and girlfriend so all together 6 persons. Vila Amores are perfekt for this with 3 nice bedrooms with their own bath rooms. The outside area is really nice and the pool and view is fantastic. It is very clear that George and Daniel have put big efforts into making this a welcoming extra home. There is a nice litle village nearby with good resturants and bakery and minor shops for grosseries. We had a few questions before and during the stay and George answers within the same hour. The coordination with George and the welcome material was very good and eventhough we came late after dark it was easy to get there. You will need a car though A place we highly recomend and would like to come back to

Very enjoyable - traditional build but all mod cons

Loved our stay at Villa Amores - the views from the balcony, crystal clear water from the pool and nicely laid gardens. The house itself looks like it has been there more than 100 years but George, the owner, told me the house was only built 20 years ago - all facilities including dishwasher were available (but not visible) - super!

SĂłlo aceptable...

Pasamos una estancia agradable, pero...el camino de acceso es bastante horrible, el recinto no se encuentra cerrado y entraron los perros del vecindario (no a la casa, pero sĂ­ por la parcela) y eso deberĂ­a especificarse antes de alquilar una vivienda cuĂĄnto mĂĄs si se va con niños pequeños. Toda la zona de ĂĄrboles que aparece en fotos, zona de hamaca y demĂĄs, estĂĄ muy descuidada. Todo el borde de la piscina tiene un suelo muy peligroso, y es muy fĂĄcil resbalar...creo que deberĂ­an cambiarlo. En el dĂ­a a dĂ­a, pues tuvimos una incidencia con la piscina que nos dejaron sin filtro durante un dĂ­a por error, pero nos lo vinieron a solucionar muy amablemente. TambiĂ©n tuvimos suerte de que el agua se cortĂł (parece que suele pasar en esa zona) el dĂ­a anterior a marcharnos, porque nos quedamos sin poder ni ducharnos ni nada...A ese tema nunca le dieron soluciĂłn...segĂșn nos indicaron, era un corte que no podĂ­an hacer mĂĄs. El importe que pagamos por la casa, daba para mejores condiciones. No la recomendarĂ­a...

Verano fantĂĄstico

La casa tiene unas vistas espectaculares desde la piscina y zona de barbacoa. El interior muy bonito y cuidado. La comunicación con el propietario ha sido excelente. El camino de acceso se hace un poco complicado, pero solo por el paisaje de las montañas y el pueblo merece la pena. Ideal para vacaciones tranquilas.
