This hotel is in the center of hotel right next to the Canterbury Cathedral. What a beautiful sight to see on the way to breakfast or going back to the room. Great continental breakfast and attentive staff. The filtered was in glass bottles was a treat. Great toiletries every day.

The place to stay in Canterbury!

Location: You are literally in the middle of all of the attractions in Canterbury. If you are going to site see there is no better place.
Excellent accommodations in the heart of Canterbury! If you are visiting to see the cathedral there is no better place to stay. The hotel is built in to the cathedral gate so it is quite historic. The room was spacious and the amenities were adequate. Nothing can beat being right in the middle of the action. The staff was very pleasant and we would definitely stay again!

I highly recommend this lovely historic hotel

Pros: character, location
Cons: Wifi
Location: Canterbury Cathedral next door, shops are along the street and many more within a short walk, as are the bus station St. Augustine's Abbey ruins
My daughter and I stayed one night in Repose, a room with two twin beds. We arrived to town by train and caught a cab from the station (about 5 pounds). We had a lovely view of the shops housed in the quaint buildings on the street outside. A bit of noise from the street in the evening, but very tolerable. A couple private shower rooms are just down the hall, shared in turn with other guests, as well as a toilet room just down the hall. A sink was available in the room. A narrow hallway passage, exposed beams, and sloped, creaky floors added to the character of the place and the enjoyment in staying there...not to mention the perfect location in historic Canterbury, just beside the gate to Canterbury Cathedral. Breakfast was very good and the service from all staff was kind and helpful. I would love to go back and stay longer. I would not recommend this place if you do not like stairs.
