From flat-topped Table Mountain down to the blue waters of Table Bay, Cape Town is simply stunning, but the city doesn't thrive by its looks alone. Proudly multicultural, its flourishing arts, dining, and nightlife scenes are proof of this modern metropolis' creativity and innovative spirit.
De Waterkant is one of the trendiest areas in Cape Town, with its stylish little pocket of historic buildings, fashionable shops, and vibey restaurants. Excellent art galleries, hip bars, world-rated restaurants, and design-savvy shops. It's also home to many of Africa's innovative artists and designers. This pulsating city will leave you hungry for more.
Enjoyed our stay in this modern, spacious and perfectly minimally furnished two bed apartment. Sleek kitchen with enough crockery, utensils and cutlery although no dishwasher, but the washing machine/dryer was very useful. Very large balcony great for meals and evening drinks. Beds and pillows are comfortable and bedding crisp. The building has parking and 24/7 reception so we felt very safe and secure. Just a short stroll from the apartment thereâs a Spar supermarket and plenty of boutiques and coffee shops, and itâs a 15min easy walk to V&A waterfront.
The only downside worth noting is there appear to be some plumbing issues: under sink draws in the both bathrooms smelt mouldy and we spotted water leaking and the shower drain in the main bathroom needs cleaning as the water drains too slowly. I expect this will be addressed in due course and wouldnât therefore hesitate to recommend the apartment, as positives outweigh this issue.
