This is a fantastic place to stay, accessible only with a car, about 20 minutes from Carcassonne. Beautiful setting, comfortable modern room with lots of space and amenities. Amazing breakfast (best croissant I had in france), very accomodating staff.

The property and vibe was very chill and easygoing. Simon gave us a little tour when we arrived and we immediately felt welcome. A great place for families, the pool was a big hit. We petted two cats and a horse and found a few lizards on hot rocks and my daughter chased grasshoppers. Beds were very comfortable and we all fell asleep to chirping crickets and a fresh breeze. The newly renovated bathroom in the family suite was gorgeous but could use a couple more hooks or towel hand towel holder. We all enjoyed staying here and wished we had more time at Domaine de la Fraisse!

Nice friendly stay in lovely location

Lovely place to stay. Our room was large and cool. Really lovely shower. Nice touch to have a fridge with a large bottle of water. Pool is small and quite a few bugs but it was refreshing. Plentiful breakfast.

Beautiful vineyard setting. We had delicious dinner at property. Farm to table fresh and delicious food and wine. The chef made a special vegetarian plate for our daughter. Rustic rooms but clean and comfy. Nice buffet breakfast included.

Peace and Quiet in Cathar country

Domaine de Fraisse is a great place if you like peace and quiet, comfort but not luxury, country walks, responsibly sourced food. In the winter the restaurant is shut and they only do breakfast - this may be a limiting factor for some but there are plenty of great restos in Nearby Carcassonne and Limoux and smaller bars in the nearby villages. A car is a necessity. The hotel is dog friendly and the staff all go that extra mule - we have stayed there 3 times.

Beautiful rural setting, a great easy getaway

Domaine de Fraisse is set in a beautiful rural location, but within easy access of Carcassonne airport. A real gem. Comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast (all organic but fuss free). The English proprietor and staff were all very helpful and recommended great things to do as we were too lazy to google everything or really prepare, and wanted experienced advice! We would definitely go back, hopefully at the edge of the season again as it was extra quiet and a lovely relaxing break. Would recommend hiring a car unless you a keen cyclist or motorcyclist.

Beautiful place in the countryside

The hotel exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the suite, which was a large space with two bedrooms and one bathroom, beautifully put together and very comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfasts and dinners, and the staff was very helpful. The hotel's location is perfect, very close to Carcassonne and an easy drive to the sites of the Corbieres region (and beyond). We made use of the swimming pool and the well-stocked game room, and we walked a few times to a small creek nearby with a swimming area. Finally, the best part was the horseback riding! Our family of 4 (all beginners) went for walks with the horses on two days during our stay. Our instructor/guide was great, and we all had fun.

Wonderful hotel very close to Carcassonne

Spent one night here on route to Barcelona, family of 5. Wonderful room, pool and games room for kids, lovely dinner. Highly recommend if you love peace and quiet and a natural setting.

Good escape from the hustle of Carcassone.

Family stay in the newly finished Finnish chalet. Very roomy for 4, across from an empty country field. Good restaurant, great stay overall. Would recommend for quietness and overall great value.

MY WIFE AND I STAYED FOR FOUR NIGHTS AT DOMAINE DE FRAISSES IT WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF OUR 3WK HOLIDAY. THE STAFF WERE AS FRIENDLY AS WE HAVE MET IN YEARS OF VISITING FRANCE.THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT AND WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND HAVING ALL YOUR MEALS THERE.THE EQUESTRIAN CENTER AT THE HOTEL HAS A WORLD CLASS INDOOR -THE THREE HOURS WE SPENT HORSE TREKKING IN THE SURROUNDING HILLS WAS INCREDIBLE.WELL DONE TO KATE ,SIMON AND STAFF

Templier country break

A very rural establishment - set up a long track in the middle of the countryside. It was very pleasant but limited. The room was adequate, the bathroom pretty basic. The restaurant only offered 2 choices - admittedly there were only us and one other couple dining but there was nto anywhere else in walking distance. Breakfast was very good ( French). A great base for exploring and if you like horses you will feel at home, but not exactly a country spa break.The staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful and made one feel really welcome.

RURAL COMFORT AND FINE DINING

We chose the hotel because it offered breakfast as part of the deal. When we got there we discovered it was a very remote (quiet) rural, converted farmhouse offering modern room facilities and excellent breakfast. It also had an outdoor, unheated, swimming pool, horses to ride and staff who could not do enough for us. Most spoke good English; the manager and his wife are both English as was the main waitress in the evenings. We chose to eat there the first night and as a result ate there most evenings subsequently. The food was excellent, verging on haute cuisine, and was also good value. Served at tables under mulberry trees in the courtyard, it was a very romantic.
