The whole group will be comfortable in this spacious and unique Maison de Hote. Located in the town center an easy walk to the UNESCO Heritage castle and Canal du Midi as well as many bakeries, restaurants, shops, and just blocks from the Place Carnot and train station. The historic home was built in 1507, and is meticulously restored with all modern amenities. It features unique architecture, high ceilings, stunning details, in addition to comfortable beds, a fully modern kitchen and bathrooms on each floor. The innkeeper lives on-site with 2 friendly dogs.
The entry level features a guest arrival and gathering room/library, a solerium with medieval stone work and a historic well (no water in the well), and a stunning formal living and dining room area with historic paintings in the ceiling panels. It also has a WC for convenience.
The first floor, accessed by a dramatic marble stairway, features a spacious modern kitchen with a family sized dining room, a laundry room. There is also a lovely outdoor deck/veranda for meals or relaxing in the sun. (Guest do not have access to the ownerâs suite that is also on this floor.)
The gracious stairs continue to the second floor, which has four spacious guest bedrooms, two shower rooms, and a WC. There is a small garret room on the third floor for reading or meditation.
Guests have access to all three principle floors in the house including the kitchen and laundry facilities.
The discreet owner/inn keeper lives in the bedroom on the homeâs 1st floor and shares living space with guests. He will interact with guests to the degree they would like. There are two friendly dogs in the home, but guests are not required by interact with them (though they are welcome to if they like).
The cave/basement, the innkeeperâs bedroom/bathroom, and the roof, are off limits to guests.
