Not what we expected from a Marriott hotel... dirty carpet in the room, non functional temperature controls. On the plus side they have parking and the location is perfect.

Clean hotel. Pillows were broken and very hard. Reception service was not very friendly or helpful. Straightaway declining every request we made without even checking. Seemed a bit of racist behaviour and treating us like peasants judging us by the manners as we visited an expensive hotel for the first time. No universal plug available which is a disappointment for such a versatile hotel as many people travel from across Europe and do not have typical UK plugs more often. One side lamp was not functional and we were told room is ready to use. Another disappointment, why pay so much for a hotel that doesn’t even provide fully functional lights. Could not waste time on getting it fixed and letting someone into the room to disrupt our privacy. TV is useless, no Netflix provided even for us to use our own account. Pretty boring rooms. Charging 18£ parking fee on top of 120£ room for a night is daylight robbery! Would always choose another hotel over marriot when visiting cardiff.

Hotel was nice and clean. No hot water 2 mornings in a row. Told reception to be told that the boiler needed re setting and the previous morning she had to do it herself. Both mornings we have had no hot water at all. No apologies, just told there has been problems with the boiler.

We would always stay here as it’s great value for money. We’d ask for a room at the back of the hotel as at the front the opposite street is very noisy to the early hours.

The hotel is lovely, we were met by a lovely lady at check ( she is from Rumania) very helpful and friendly. We thought the car park fee of £18is a bit steep but it is city centre and great that it is under the hotel. The room is lovely, very comfortable and clean.

Wanted to order room service, no answer so rang reception they took a message for them to call back call never came and shut at 11pm. 1030 stopped service in restaurant. Having traveled a long way expected better of room service. Parking hard to find entrance obscured.
