Avis pour Hip Spin to Classic Cabin Charm - Honey Bear Cabin
Our weekend stay at Honey Bear cabin was wonderful. The location is perfect â in a quiet residential area close to the lake with easy access to hiking and water activities. The cabin is extremely cozy and well maintained. We highly recommend this property!
Nothing special about a very old house. A time capsule from the 70s with dirty patio furniture, single pane windows, old shower fixtures, a plywood repaired entry door and more: an overall beaten up mediocre facility. Luckily we didnât spend much time in the house. Typical Tahoe cash cow belonging to someone who can charge +$500/night indefinitely without remodeling the house. As long as there are people visiting every day of the week theyâll keep going.
Cabin was exactly as described, perfect. Very clean, very comfortable, great location. Really quiet for the time we where there. All of the necessary plates, silverware, etc. was provided. Outside deck was great, good bbq to use. Nice surprise was the beach chairs and towels that were in the cabin for our use. And yes, we did use them. Just an all around enjoyable and relaxing time. Highly recommend this cabin and of course, visiting Lake Tahoe.
Well located among tall trees in a neighborhood of homes minutes from the lake and 20 minutes from Truckee. Huge deck with a nice grill is great any time of day. The cabin is a bit dated and seems pricey compared to other VRBOs for what you get, but maybe thatâs the area. The management company was outstanding, great communication throughout.
Donât miss paddling from Sand Harbor (kayak and board rentals on the beach, get there early), the rocks and water to the south are spectacular. Emerald Bay is an easy drive too, and Rubicon Peak was steep but worth it.
The comfortable cabin is surrounded by pines has a big outdoor deck for relaxing or entertaining. Up mountain1/4 mile from lake, 2 miles from Safeway, 12 miles from Sand Harbor, 7 miles from river rafting.
This was a nice place and we enjoyed our stay here. We would have liked it even more if there was cable TV. We also could not find kitchen scissors. Also, there is a long carpet that leads to the patio. The patio door would not open because the carpet blocked the door. We had to pull it away from the door in order to get out. It also bunched up constantly and was a tripping hazard. Other than that, it was a great place - very close to Kings Beach and some other less-crowded beaches that we enjoyed. Speedboat Beach was our favorite! Very small but very beautiful.
We really enjoyed our stay at this small cozy cabin and would stay there again. The amenities and things available were thoughtful and I would say the house is well stocked. We were the first guests with the new listing so maybe that played a part. The property manager was very well spoken, responsive and helpful before and during our stay. We found that for a party of 4 with two kids of seperate genders, we would have preferred if the second guest room had two beds or bunks or if the upstairs area was open to use but to be fair the listing was clear about this (kids ended up kicking us both nights...LOL). That being said, the wooded back porch, grill, proximity to lake and privacy of this cabin won us all over. I spent an evening just staring out at the old and tall pine trees visible from the glass windows in living room.
