Fair Use Policy for Heating and Hot Water
To ensure we can offer the lowest possible accommodation costs while maintaining a comfortable stay for all our guests, the operation of the LPG central heating system is governed by a fixed schedule via the Hive thermostat. This policy is designed to balance guest comfort with energy efficiency, reflecting the substantial cost of LPG, particularly during the winter season..
Central Heating Operation
The lodge`s central heating operates on the following schedule:
Time Period: 23:00 to 07:00
The system is primarily off overnight. If the room temperature drops to 17∘C or lower, the heating will automatically activate to boost the temperature back to 17∘C. This is designed to prevent the lodge from becoming excessively cold.
Time Period: 07:00 to 23:00
During the main part of the day, the heating is set to maintain a comfortable temperature of 20∘C. The system will cycle on and off as needed to keep the lodge at this temperature.
Please Note: Tampering with the heating programmer or thermostat settings is prohibited and may result in an additional charge for excessive fuel use, as well as the immediate adjustment of the controls back to the set schedule.
Hot Water Supply
The hot water is supplied by the same LPG system and is available 24 hours a day through a combi boiler. While the hot water is always on, please be mindful of usage.
Policy Goal
This fair use policy allows us to accurately manage our highest variable operational cost (LPG fuel) and ensures that we can maintain our commitment to offering budget-friendly holidays without unexpected surcharges. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to this policy during your stay.
