House was great and clean. Would definitely recommend and come back! Only downside was the beach renourishment project happening right outside the house and we couldnât enjoy the benefits of being oceanfront.
The house was the perfect size for our family of 6 adults and 2 small children. Access to the beach was perfect, and the surrounding area gave us places within a walk or easy drive. The cleaning service missed the mark prior to our arrival, but that may have been a one time thing that is easy to fix. We would come again.
We loved the location in that it was about halfway between Ft. Fisher and Carolina Beach boardwalk and right on the beach!. The pictures are spot on in terms of the how newly remodeled the property is, with new flooring, counters, paint, etc. We also loved the second living area downstairs, which allowed folks to watch different shows on TV's without being sequestered to our rooms. Our only issue with the property was the beds, they seemed small for queens and mattresses where too firm, most of the older adults, myself included, woke up with stiff backs. Also, some of the dining table chairs were a bit wobbly, although not a major concern as we typically only ate maybe one meal a day as a group. All-in-all, I would stay here again, although I might bring a bed wedge and my own pillows next time.
Lovely house, much nicer than we imagined. Well stocked for the fall with many blankets and throws. Very clean and newly renovated. Kitchen had adequate inventory for any cooking needs. We loved the location, and the beach access is great. We all want outdoor covered seating, and this was perfect with two levels of covered outdoor seating.
Would love to return--this was our first visit to Kure Beach and we will be sure to return.
Beds were made prior to our arrival--a very nice bonus.
Only suggestion--perhaps some new bed pillows, and consider a closed outdoor shower at some point. Thanks for a lovely and perfect fall week.
We had such a wonderful time! The house and location were exactly what we were hoping for. The home was even nicer than in the pictures!
The property management company was great and quick to respond to all my questions. They let us know that the home was ready a little early to check in and also contacted us towards the end of the week to let us know the home was available for an extra day if we wanted to rent itâŠwhich we did! We will definitely be back!
Overall the house was nice. The only negative comment I have is about the cleanliness. On the surface the house looked clean. After about 10 minutes in the house I noticed my kids feet were black. Later I was cleaning up some milk from the kitchen floor and the white towel was completely filthy.
The views and the private beach access can't be beat! Absolutely stunning.
Our stay really was great. This is our 5th vacation to Kure and we love it there. The beach access was perfect and not too crowded. The weather was perfection so we got to enjoy a lot of beach time. The location made it easy for morning coffee runs, or dinner out. Plus, it was just a short drive to the farmers market and our favorite ice cream shop. We took full advantage of the deck seating which accommodated all of us easily.
The being said, although the kitchen is fully stocked with tons of small appliances, dishes and pots and pans, there was not any place to store grocery items so the counter bar top was always full. For 10 people, we had a lot of food. The furniture in the dining and living room need an update. The sofa was falling apart and not very comfortable to sit in. The table legs kept coming loose, making it wobbly and the chairs have seen better days. These are things we can live with for a beach side rental. I think the biggest complaint for everyone staying with us was how uncomfortable the mattresses were. There are memory foam mattresses that are a few hundred each that would have made sleeping an absolute dream.
House was great and we all loved having the ocean so close to the house. Our morning coffee on the deck was so enjoyable. We loved that our fur baby was also welcome. We would definitely rent this house again
