Hotel looked all locked up when we arrived - no sign of life. Eventually the bar opened across the road and he had the keys. It is in a remote village with very few amenities and we almost drove off thinking we would not get a room. It is basic but very clean and comfortable. Just be prepared to wait.
Once we found the hotel - what a gem! The room was lovely and spotless. The bed was as comfortable as our own. The staff were so friendly and laid back.
El hotel esta en un lugar muy muy tranquilo, con vistas a la montaña, el restaurante estaba en frente, comida buena y económica. El personal muy amable.
This is a small local hotel and restaurant apparently catering to local population gathering in the bar for football, or local tourists enjoying the local rural pursuits. No one had more than a couple of words of English, and our Spanish is very limited, but everything was negotiated with good humour and friendship. Booking through hotels.com in Spanish led to a problem in that the hĂŽtel record did not show that we had paid, but they accepted our confirmation email and receipt without question.
We choose this out of the way hotel because it was midway between Pamplona and where we were going. Turned out to be a little bit more rural than I thought it would be in the first place. But, I have to say the area was beautiful and we just relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful scenery.
This was a very small and simple hotel. But, it was clean and quaint. The young man in charge tried very hard to be accommodating to us. And we enjoyed our stay. It did help that we speak basic Spanish as no English was spoken here. (This IS Spain)
I would recommend this place if you don't mind a simple very quite place
Zona muy tranquila en las afueras de Casas Bajas. Servicio atento. La recepciĂłn estĂĄ enfrente, en el bar La Moncloa, muy recomendable para comer o cenar bien y a buen precio.
