Situated in the foothills of the Pyrenees near the medieval village of Castelnou, designated one of "The Most Beautiful Villages in France", and 10 minutes from the historic market town of Thuir. Set in half an acre, this Catalan stone mas has a spacious living area which opens onto a south facing terrace with private pool. Stunning uninterrupted views from the Mediterranean in the east to Mount Canigou in the west. Comfortable accommodation for four people with a mezzanine double bedroom accessed via a spiral staircase (not suitable for the elderly or very young) and a twin bedded room off the living area. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. Idyllic location for a peaceful holiday, 12 miles from Perpignan, 20 miles to the Mediterranean and the Spanish border.

Great Villa in very quiet Environment with excellent view and pool
We really enjoyed our stay close to Castelnou. Very remote and relaxing. Description very valid, as upper maisonnette bedroom cannot accessed by toddlers or elderly, narrow stairs. Ants and mosquitos were there but not so many. Do not leave food openly in the kitchen over night. Equipment perfect. We loved the plancha! Would highly recommend the Villa!

Une très grande vue (mais une petite piscine)
Le cadre est exceptionnel, la vue à couper le souffle et comme dit dans le titre, dommage que la piscine n'ait pas la taille de celle du voisin :-) Le mas est très bien et le seul bémol concerne la vaisselle avec des verres pour la plupart dépareillés et pas beaucoup d'assiettes elles aussi pas toujours du même service mais pour les reste, tout est ok comme la bouteille de vin qui vous accueille ! Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans un cadre enchanteur.

Wer die Ruhe liebt, ist hier richtig
Tolles Haus, sehr ruhige Lage. Geschmackvoll und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Sehr nette Vermieter. Aber: Das nächste Baguette ist 10 km entfernt. Wen das nicht stört, der kann hier eine ganz tolle Zeit haben.
