Nice place inside.
Love watching deer come out every evening. Minimal utensils in kitchen bought steak knives and left them for next guest. If you are physically fit at age 64 then OKAY. however, tub is very high set and NO grab bars. Did not know about Cedar Rapids water, took a trip to Wal-Mart to buy water for drinking and cooking. Other than that, loved the week we stayed centrally located for all of our adventures.

Wonderful getaway
My mom and I took a road trip to Cedar Rapida and were fortunate enough to find this perfect place to stay. It was clean, comfortable and in a nice quiet location. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

BLACK MOLD
Upon opening the doors, we were consumed with a musty smell. I didn’t want to be a bother, so I lit 10 candles left on property and thought it was just stale air. The following day, still such an awful smell, the carpet seemed damp, I pushed my finger down in between trim and carpet, my finger was completely black. I took cleaner from kitchen and tried to clean as best I could, that evening, power went out. We thought it best to leave. The next day I felt terrible, chest tightness, trouble breathing. I notified owner, he stated he would look at property. He told me there was a “spot” on the wood trim that he cleaned, so he decided it was not mold. There IS MOLD on this property. Owner stopped returning my messages. Would not refund even a portion of my stay. Very disappointing!!!!

Don't judge a book by its cover
Driving up was surprised by area and outer appearance, but once opening door was pleasantly surprised. Everything is in great condition, great ambience. Felt like our own lil home away from home. Kitchen has basics you need to cook. Beds comfortable. Couch inviting and roomy. Close to downtown Cedar Rapids area.
