A calming private apartment in the heart the historic business district, located on Washington Ave just steps to a variety of local restaurants, small shops, wineries, breweries, parks...yet set back for those quiet moments when you need a timeout. The 2 br apartment is situated above a private garage accessed by stairs, loaded with everything you need for a 5 star stay whether it's for 1 night, a week, or more. A living room to hang out in and a full kitchen to either heat up your leftovers from a restaurant, or make a quick meal before heading out to explore more is a better value compared to a 1 room bnb. Choice linens and varied pillows for a great night sleep. We do not charge a cleaning fee and we just ask for you to do a couple of things before you check(no cleaning)out. Great place, Perfect Location
We were attending a concert in Milwaukee and decided to stay Thursday and Friday in Cedarburg. This was the perfect location, close to everything in town. Walking distance to a lot of fun things! This place has everything you want and need, great amenities. We would definitely plan to stay here again in the future!

2nd time staying here
This was our 2nd time staying at Kathy and Marty's place. The apartment is spacious for 3 adults, has everything we could possibly need, and is located close to Cedarburg's wineries, restaurants, and shops. We parked the car and walked everywhere. The apartment is clean, the beds are comfortable, and the hosts personalized our stay with suggestions and treats. Easy check in and check out.

Cedarburg weekend getaway
Quick weekend getaway for us (couple). Apartment was a perfect size and had more than everything we needed. Super convenient check in, timely and welcoming communication with owners. Great downtown location within walking distance to shopping, parks and restaurants!

This was our third year in a row staying at this location for a yearly event. It is perfect for our needs: great location, great communication, clean, and comfortable. Not large by any means, but able to accommodate 4 adults without sharing beds. We'll most likely be back again next year. Great hospitality.

A middle of the week weekend
We had a much needed girlfriend’s mini getaway. The Waldernhaus in Cedarburg was exactly how described. The owner Kathy was attentive and so ready to help when our vehicle got a flat tire. Nice place and nice owner. We liked a lot!

Wandernhaus is THE place to stay!
Quiet, charming & incredibly comfortable 2 bdrm/1 bath includes parking & no cleaning fee! Great nights' sleep! All amenities you could need. Love having a full kitchen & relaxing living room with a great TV (Netflix, Live TV, etc) after a fun day out and about! Great dining options a few steps away! Cream & Crepe (yummy soups & sandwiches), Chocolate Factory (try a turkey/blackberry jam sub & ice cream malt), Java House for satisfying coffee & tea, Donut Monster for from scratch english muffins, don't miss The Art of Joy for Non-A & unique Alcoholic beverages. Historic Stagecoach Inn is really fun! Caramel apples? Go to Amy's! Shopping faves include Apothecary at "the mill", Cedarburg Art Museum (wow!), Penzey's Spices, Weeds for tea & gifts. Cannot wait to return to this "home away from home". Thanks for an amazing experience and all the helpful tips.

Cute and cozy getaway
Stayed here with for a quick family, Christmas-y getaway from the Chicago ‘burbs. Everything related to the apartment was easy and straight-forward. Kathy made the extra effort to leave a bag of goodies for our toddler, which was so kind and unexpected. We stayed on a Monday night, so a couple restaurant and shop options were closed, but there were still plenty of places pop in and browse. Definitely want to return when the weather is warmer - looks like the town is equipped nicely for a lot of outdoor dining experiences!
