In the wintertime, the Chamonix valley offers the perfect setting for skiing and snowboarding; with schools, rental shops, pristine slopes, cross country routes and off-piste runs. In the summertime, the Chamonix valley also offers a great destination for hiking, mountaineering, rock climbing, riding, adventure parks, paragliding, spa days, water sports and golf.
For those flying in, Geneva Airport (reachable by shuttle service, bus or rental car) is 77 minutesâ drive away. Due to the unique topography, location, and weather conditions in the Mont Blanc Valley, internet connectivity may be unreliable.
The apartment was nice and warm and had great views from the balcony. The rooms were small, but sufficient for my family and I. There were a few things that could have been better, though. The top rack of the dishwasher was broken, which was very frustrating when trying to wash dishes. Also, the curtains in the living area/kitchen were broken, so we couldnât really close the curtains at night. There were two chairs at the dining table that were broken and seemed unsafe to sit in, and there was a metal railing to dry our dish towels in the kitchen that kept falling off. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and the Chamonix valley was absolutely stunning, but for the price I paid for this apartment, I would have expected all the amenities to be functional.
