Renovated in 2017 with a modern touch, this apartment is ready to provide you with unforgettable holiday moments and comfortable accommodation in an ideal location for both beach relaxation and exploring the famous town of Chania.Elegantly and stylishly furnished, both inside and outside, Mare Civitas Unum (79 sq.m.) is situated on the ground floor and designed in an open-plan style for maximum comfort, making it particularly suitable for families with children.The apartment features a cozy double bedroom with a spacious bathroom and a second bedroom with twin beds and an adjoining bathroom. The comfortable living room is connected to a fully equipped open-plan kitchen with a dining table. Le logement est confortable, bien situé, un peu petit. Dommage qu'on ne puisse pas utiliser plus de 2 plaques de la cuisiniÚre sans faire sauter les plombs. Globalement, c'est un bon logement.

Close to the beach

The space itself, two bedrooms, private courtyard, and close to the beach was excellent. Very well furnished with plenty of space. Unfortunately there is a very pungent smell (smelled like cat urine) emanating from the front bathroom which after doing an online search we have determined is black mold. Made one of the bathrooms, completely unusable and it had to be closed off with the bathroom fan continuously on and the bedroom window open to allow that bedroom to be usable. It is also very concerning that we breathed that in for multiple days. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend staying in this unit until that is remedied.

Great location, clean apartment, well equipped

We enjoyed our short stay at this modern, well equipped apartment with all mod cons, and a nice central patio. Just a few yards walk to the sea and 10 minutes from the Venetian port.

Lovely flat, wonderful lovely location

This is a really nice property for families or two couples. The en-suite washrooms in each bedroom are a real bonus for groups so you’re not bumping into each other. The patio out back is great for visiting but the walls are a bit of a sound amplifier so you just need to be mindful of voices carrying late at night if you’re visiting out there. We loved the washing machine and ability to keep up on that for our two week stay. There were a few issues but all were quickly dealt with and the property managers are easy to reach if you have any questions or issues. The housekeeper Dina could not be more lovely and sweet. I recommend this property for all these reasons and especially for the location. Only two blocks away from the beautiful and massive beach with all the restaurants and bars for cocktails just a stone’s throw away. You’re also only a 15-20 minute walk from the heart of Chania where there is excellent shopping, banking, and food and drink options. You’ll love your stay here!

casa in buona posizione sia per il centro di chania che per le spiagge piĂč belle. casa pulita e con il cambio asciugamani ogni due giorni. unica pecca il poco spazio per gli indumenti. abbiamo dovuto usare il tavolino della cucina per mettere le magliette e comprare gli omini in quanto erano 10 per 4 persone. comodo il check in che lascia spazio all'arrivo.

Nice modern apartment. We were told to go to the wrong apartment in the building when we checked in, but this was easily cleared up with a phone call to the prop.mngr. Power went out in the building twice during the week and one a/c unit stopped working for a while one evening. 100 meter walk to the beach and a nice 10-15 min. stroll to old town Chania. Supermarket also just 10 minutes away was very convenient.

Incredibly Convenient and Clean

We only spent 1 night in Chania, and this apartment was so convenient for us. We parked on the street with no problem, and getting into the apartment was a breeze with the lock-box. All we had to do was drop off our stuff and then head down to the water - which is basically right outside the door. It was a clean place to stay, very comfortable, and getting to the beach, restaurants, and the old Venetian port was easy as can be. I'd stay here again for sure.

Clean, comfortable and perfect location

1 minute from a lovely beach, work going on replacing the beach promenade which will be finished in time for the summer months. Didn't spoil our enjoyment though. Would come again, Chania is a real gem.

Perfect location

The apartment is ideally placed very near the beach, local tavernas and a small fishing harbour. The old town of Chania can be reached by an easy coastal walk that takes about 25 mins or a more direct route inland taking about 15mins. Easy to get to the bus station too for trips out to the Botanic gardens or coastal towns. There was a problem with one of the showers not draining properly but this was fixed the same day and the ladies servicing the apartment offered fresh bedding and towels every day, which was great. Washing machine and dryer on the patio also very useful!We had an enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Clean, modern and perfect for us. 3 minute walk to the beach and small marina with restaurants. 2 small markets within a block and a 10-15 minute walk to old town which was a nice stroll in the evenings. We always felt safe. Parking was always available close by. Power went out one day due to construction down the street and the rental office was responsive and agreed to send someone right away to investigate . They came out and left us a note that it had been addressed while we went out . Excellent follow up. Lots of hot water with excellent water pressure. If I had any suggestions it would be to add some shelving in the one bedroom for clothes. We would definitely return.
