My husband and I spent a truely wonderful week in this charming holiday home adjacent to the beautiful old Dominican monestary in Chania. The host is most welcoming and helpful and the house is clean and contains everyting you need. You may want to bring a kettle for boiling water for e.g. tea, however. The best thing for us was the perfect opportunity to meet the locals who are all very friendly and lovely people. The nearby shops in the square of Splanzia provided us with everything we needed for our breakfast, evening wine etc. The spirit of this old place with its welcoming citizens made our first visit to Crete an experience we will always remember.
A PERFECT LITTLE JEWEL IN A HISTORIC CLOISTER. EVERYTHING YOU NEED AND MORE
This lovely little house was our home for 3 days and was very comfortable. Dimitris was warm and helpful when we arrived .
The linen and bedding. Was good quality , I found the bed a little firm but my husband found it just right. Having a toilet downstairs as well as upstairs was much appreciated as was having the aircon/heaters on both levels.
The fresh fruit was very welcome as was the shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom.
The location is perfect, away enough form the clubs and bars to be peaceful and in the square with lots of locals. The close proximity to the little bakery for pie and coffee very welcome.
We loved the bells the choir singing in the church and the sunny yard to sit and take in the gorgeous old surroundings.
The little kitchenette was practical , we could have used. a kettle however the saucepan for boiling. Water was adequate.
Highly recommended , excellent value for money
Highly recommended.
