Lake front home away from home

A little over 5000 sqft of inside oasis and 1000 sqft of deck. This home was fully remodeled with high end appliances, white quartz, beautiful floors, tiled bathrooms and stylish decor. This 3 level home comprises of 5 bedroom (12 beds) and 3 1/2 bathrooms. The kitchen has a walk in pantry and two stoves for those who enjoy cooking (fully stocked). The 300 sqft dinning rooms seats 24 comfortably with additional 5 seats on island. Each level has a sectional and entertainment for everyone. The upstairs theater is perfect for movie nights. Laundry room is also upstairs fully stocked with detergent, dryer sheets and extra towels. The basement is where everyone turns into a child; full kitchen, pool table, shuffleboard, arcade and basketball arcade. The basement then leads to a fully screened-in porch that walks out to a hot tub with views of the lake.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE — SAFETY HAZARDS, FILTH, AND ZERO ACCOUNTABILITYOur stay at this property was an absolute nightmare from the moment we arrived. The home was dirty, poorly maintained, and full of hazards, and the host was completely unwilling to take responsibility or fairly compensate us despite the extensive failures throughout our stay.The property was nowhere near the condition advertised. We arrived to cobwebs, debris, gum and urine on outdoor seating, unstable furniture, broken fixtures, clogged sinks, missing towel racks, and even roaches. Major amenities—including the stove, hot tub, outlets, and heating—were either broken or failed during our stay.Things escalated when we experienced a gas leak that required the fire department and a full evacuation. We were left with no functional stove, no hot water for two days (on Thanksgiving), and repeated technician visits that never fully resolved the problems. Portions of the home were without heat in late November, and several areas of the house were outright unsafe, including loose banisters and a pantry door that kept falling off.This property is full of band-aid repairs, unsafe conditions, and clear neglect. For the price paid, this stay was beyond unacceptable, and it’s shocking that it remains listed.I strongly warn future guests: do not book this property. It is misrepresented, poorly managed, and unsafe. The host was unhelpful, dismissive, and unwilling to make things right despite the extensive issues

Our stay was overall very fun, and the house was accommodating for all who stayed. Some key points to note, the dock was not in working condition. It is broken at the end however you are able to go to the edge of the dock to look in the water. There were some cleanliness issues including some food beneath the couch and ants. The location is by the lake, so some bugs were expected. The host was very easy to communicate with and helped remediate any issues we had. Overall, it was a great time for my little sister’s bachelorette!

Overall nice, big house but it needs a lot of work

This property had plenty of space for our group to spread out. However, we noticed right off the bat the launch for kayaks was gone. There is a dock, but it just drops off which is a saftey hazard, the old launch is tied to it. We had to load two kayaks into my truck and drive 15 minutes to a public launch to be able to use them safely. There were multiple small to large damages throughout the property. The screened in porch needs TLC including power washing the pollen off of the floor, the sliding door is missing and the screen on one of the windows is coming off. There was still garbage left near the hot tub from a previous renter and the garage was full of leaves which made it seem like the cleaninng fee charged isn't actually paid to who cleans it. I communicated with the property manager about the issues and for the hot water issue in one of the showers, maintenance responded and fixed it quickly. I had to ask for a partial refund instead of being offered one. We should have been contacted before our arrival to be notified of the issues and them offer a discount or another property in better condition and like size instead of discovering all of the issues ourselves. Unless this property is closed for about 3 weeks to do repairs, painting, and a true deep cleaning, I would not consider staying here again. The cost is too much to have so many issues and I only mentioned some.

Peaceful and Lovely

This was a great stay for our group. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake at sunrise and sunset. The house was spacious and we enjoyed the decks, the hot tub, the game room, and sitting around on the couches on each level. The host was easy to communicate with and very helpful. It was a little challenging to share just 3 showers among all of us when we had to get out early in the morning, but besides that, we were totally happy with our stay!

This house was GREAT for our family reunion. It had plenty of space to spread out. The theater and game room were a real hit! The lake water level was low, so when trying to swim from the dock, our feet would hit the bottom and sink into a foot of mud. Yuck! But we figured out a way to get into the kayaks and floats from a rocky area and that worked well. Later, I asked the host and she told me another area we could have used. The house had 3 kayaks and 2 floats, which was amazing! Our family really enjoyed kayaking!! The cleanliness of the house was not great. I let the host know and she was upset. She is going to talk to the cleaners to be sure they do a better job from now on. Vi, the hostess, was very responsive to our needs, both before and during our stay.

Family vacation

We had a great time with all of our family from 3 different states being together. The house was roomy enough for all 22 of us! The children and men enjoyed the game room. The kayaks and paddle boards were also enjoyed! The large dining room was great. Kitchen layout was handy but there were some essential items that were missing. But Walmart was 8 minutes away. Easy access into the water but the water was not very deep. We did find a nice place to play in the water a little ways away. But not a good place for swimming. If we just needed a place to stay we would choose this house again but we like to swim.

Nice house and location with a few caveats

This home is convenient and attractive. There is room for a crowd with kitchen, dining, and hang-out space on the main floor with bedrooms and additional hang-out space on upper and lower floors. The host was friendly and responsive. I would recommend that you carefully understand the layout of the sleeping rooms before you book. The room with 4 bunk beds is actually full-size beds sleeping 2 each, so this room is intended for 8 people - which may work for some groups but not others. When we booked, the listing also showed sleeper sofas or futons, which is not the case - plenty of couches to crash on, but they don't fold out into beds (and additional blankets/linens were not provided). There is also an alert system that beeps every time any exterior door is opened, which is nice if you are worried about young kids near the water, but a bit distracting if your group goes in and out a lot. Overall the property needs a little maintenance but our group was able to roll with the punches and enjoy our stay. If I came back I would consider this place again.

Booked this house for my wedding weekend and It exceed expectations! House was very big, spacious, and clean. The game room was the icing on the cake for my group of friends as we all have a competitive edge. Highly recommend booking this property. Relaxing Weekend

Our large group of 20 had a great weekend here! Plenty of room for everyone to have space and comfortable beds each night. We never felt cramped and appreciated the different activity areas like the projector room, hot tub, game room, and the dock to the water. Owner was very communicative, easy check-in process, and very clean! Certainly would recommend to anyone needing a large home in the area.

Family gathering

Beautiful property with lovely amenities and close proximity to grocery and fun activities. Our extended family enjoyed being here for our annual gathering. Plenty of room to spread out and spacious common areas for us all to be together. Owner stayed in contact/was available to answer any questions and assure our stay was pleasant.

We brought our team out of state for a conference. The house was large enough for everyone to have their own bed. Everyone enjoyed the game room & spent most of the time there!! Fun trip on the lake

Checkin went very smoothly, the owner was extremely communicative and answered any and all questions I had promptly. The property was very clean when we checked in, and almost everything was found as advertised with the exception of a few things previous destructive guests were responsible for. Overall our trip was great, with lots of space for parking, fully functional and clean grill, and a fantastic game room that was well used. Would rent again 5/5 stars

Massive home with everything nearby

I rented this home to visit my family in Charlotte, NC. I wanted a place large enough to accommodate our family size without feeling like we were on top of each other. We were only planning on hanging out at the home and we wanted the space. The home feels massive inside with plenty of spaces to hangout in. The adults spent most of the time in the kitchen/living area hanging out and watching college football. At night we had family bets with pool and basketball. The home also offers kayaks and paddleboards free of charge. We went out once to explore but didn't get too far. The grocery store and liquor store is less than 5 minutes away. Overall our stay was great, my family had a wonderful time and our host was great with communication. Well done with the remodeling. We can't wait to rent again next year and every year after that.
