Pictures are deceiving and don't tell the true story.
The pictures give you the feeling of a bright , clean, environment. Not so! Dirty dishes in cupboards, broiler pan with caked on food and ash ,teflon pans with teflon all chipping and worn so not safety use, garbage in the can upon arrival, visably dirty walls and doors with black soot smudges throughout, furniture in the living room old/worm/badly stained (with what looks like blood) ,supposed bed in the LR mattress foam all shredded and not easily pulled out for use, construction drywall chunks at floorboard in kitchen, torn bed/headboards ,no bed linens or blankets to use for the bed in the LR, mirror moon shape in one room off the wall and sitting on the table, stained carpet rugs, scratches on the hardwood floor in the LR, kitchen table legs and corner of tops scratched, visable paint chips throughout the house on walls, corners, and heating registers, ,no papertowel provided, once in the house, unable to access the side door to enter/exit load in from the driveway, laundry floor stained/not cleaned, wicker kitchen picture frame with wicker pieces torn, aside from dish soap no cleaning supplies provided, no mixing bowls or extra bowls to prepare food provided, not a full set of dishes for 8 people provided (different number of each dish item), paint chips off heating registers, and overall dirty feeling to the house such that we had to clean upon arrival.Communication w/propertyy manager/host-poor and not responsive.

Very comfortable home away from home
My husband, son and I traveled from MD to be with family during a very difficult time. We were only able to stay 2 nights so I was thrilled to find this home was available. This house was actually more than what we needed for the 2 nights but was very reasonably priced. Definitely a very nice, comforting house to stay in.

This is a cute house. The property was clean and cozy. The beds were comfy. This neighborhood is quiet and feels very safe. The microwave did not work for us, but I am sure this is an easy fix. The living room furniture could us an update. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Very disappointed! The kitchen sink leaked and flooded the floor. There was one skillet for cookware to use during the Thanksgiving break. No linen or towels, so we had to purchase some to use. No water pressure for showers.

Nice location but misleading listing by people who won’t address clear problems
The home is quaint and set in an established neighborhood less than 15 minutes from Charlotte. It had the potential to be a charming place for an incredible stay. Unfortunately, the listing is inaccurate, the property management is lackadaisical and the property opener is unresponsive. These are the issues we addressed with property management, as well as Greg, and how it was handled. “Laundry facilities” - The listing on VRBO and the property management site showcase “laundry facilities” in the description of the home. When we arrived, the washer and dryer were broken with a piece of paper informing us they were out of order. We contacted Greg and VRBO and Exemplary Corporate starting the first night of our stay to ask for a resolution of this misleading information. They said that the description hadn’t been updated and said they offered a solution through a laundry service. That was not a solution at all because it was an expensive add on and would take at least 3 business days to get our laundry back based on our communication with them. We explained this misinformation caused us to waste our time and money and added stress to our stay, but no one cared or did anything to resolve it. This stay was for our entire family and would not have booked this home if we knew it did not include laundry. VRBO agreed it was misleading, as did our credit card company but they both said we were out of luck. We spent our time and money on something that was stated to be part of the rental. Grill - The listing description stated there is a grill to use. In fact, there was a rusted out smoker with grates sitting in overgrown grass. We mentioned this to property management and Greg multiple times. 5 nights into our 7 night stay the company sent out an employee to build a grill. Our family helped her build it because she was inexperienced and it was not an easy 1-person build. We literally were given one evening to use it once the problem was resolved. Outdoor dining - The listing stated there was an outdoor dining space. Interestingly for a home that is supposed to be equipped to house 8 people, there is a table and two worn out chairs that were in a flower bed knocked over. No resolution provided. Linens and silverware - A tots of 6-8 towels with no laundry’s facility and 4-6 place seating silverware Cleanliness - We notified Greg that the cupboards and drawers needed a good cleaning, as they were quite dirty. No resolution was ever provided.

Home away from home
Nice house close to the downtown Charlotte area. Decent backyard for animals. Good for a weekend stay! Loved the updated bathrooms and appliances. I definitely recommend.
