The room was super nice and the staff made us feel very welcome. It snowed our first night and some restaurants in the area closed but Jake, Inn Manger was able to give us a good recommendation so we could have our anniversary dinner

Nicely furnished room, very charming… But, heat was not working properly and had to be reset-was cold in room for several hours. Also, Room 5 is accessed through the restaurant staircase-you literally are walking through the restaurant to leave the premises.

Perfect location

We loved our stay at the Dinsmore Inn in Charlottesville. The location is perfect and the inn itself has so much historic charm. Our room was beautiful and the bed extremely comfortable. The staff were very friendly and professional, which made us feel welcome straight away. Breakfast at the Farm Bell Kitchen was an added bonus — a lovely setting with a great selection to choose from, all cooked to order and very fresh. Highly recommend this inn for anyone visiting Charlottesville!

Southern hospitality at its best

Dinsmore is a sweet taste of southern hospitality. The rooms are all clean and beautiful. Ours has a fireplace and lots of light. The bed is a four poster with the softest linens. The manager greeted us and showed us a hospitality are of the building with complimentary coffee waters. They have an extensive collection of wine for sale. The breakfast was the very best we’ve had, again complimentary. This was an overnight stay for us on our way to Nortu Carolina and I can’t recommend it enough
