Thought it'd be good but it doesn't deserve a 9.2.

Well looking at the reviews I thought that it was going to be a decent place bc it had a 9.2 but when I got there the hotel was hot the people with the desk were not all the friendliest except for the overnight girl- she was great Love her to death. There was one lady at the front desk there was absolutely rude as she could be. The bed hurt my back. The air conditioner would cut off for some reason throughout the day if I was gone So when I got back the room was 75° and hot as hell. Then would take forever to get cool again so that wasn't cool. The second day when I went down and looked at the pool there was bubbles all in it didn't look like it had been treated properly with the right chemicals as a day passed on it looked like it might have cleared up a little bit as people were in it but that morning it did not look very good. They did have a nice breakfast unfortunately it was the same thing every day I was there sausage turkey sausage pancakes biscuits eggs fried potatoes cereal bagels that's about it. It'd been different if maybe they switched it up and threw some bacon in there or something but it was the same thing everyday I went down there So I only went down once and I only ate something one time the other days I just went and got chocolate milk and went back to the room. Then unfortunately when I tried to see if I could change my reservations I couldn't they would have had to refund the money and I would actually had to pay out of pocket for another room.

When we checked in around 8PM, we found the sink was clogged. We didn’t expect this because the score was 9.2. Since we would leave next day morning, we didn’t contact front desk to fix it. We hope English Inn can maintain the facility well in the future.

A unique but terrific stay in Charlottesville

Outstanding in every regard! Convenient, clean, and cool decor. If you're coming to Charlottesville for a stay, this is your place. Easy to find, unique look & vibe, & great breakfast. Worth the stay!

The room was clean and inviting. Clean scent greeted us in the lobby upon arrival and departure. The room was comfortable and the included breakfast buffet was excellent. Highly recommend staying here.

The location was perfect for UVA's graduation. We were up and out very early so we missed the breakfast but the room was super clean, and the coffee was ready to roll early the following morning. Staff on duty was super nice! Thank You!

British charm in Charlottesville

Loved everything about this place. Daily linen service. Especially loved that uou can't hear what's going on in the rooms beside you. Breakfast is fantastic! Staff from front desk to custodial services very friendly & helpful. Centrally located to everything we needed.
