Holiday home in one of the most unspoilt landscapes in France.
1.5 hours from Lyon and 2 hours from Clermont-Ferrand lies the charming village of Chaspinhac. In the hamlet of Brestilhac you will find the accommodation "Au Bout du Monde" (At the End of the World). The accommodation is rightly named because beyond the hamlet, the road stops to make way for the dizzying gorges of the Loire. The area is charming, the stone houses seem to have always been there, nestled in lush nature. The cottage is located at the end of the village, next to a quiet square, it offers you beautiful living spaces and fully fenced and flowered outdoor areas. Here, tranquillity and joie de vivre will be the key words for your holiday. The prices include the final cleaning. On site: Numerous marked hiking trails. A little further afield: a farmer's market is held every Wednesday evening in the village of Chaspinhac, visit the remarkable site of St Quintin, the exceptional gorges of Corboeuf.... A little further: discover the Haute-Loire and its remarkable sites: the fortress of Polignac, the town of Le Puy en Velay with its many buildings listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the gorges of the Loire... Additional services: Bed linen package âŹ16.80 (double bed) and âŹ9.60 (single bed), towel set âŹ6.00.
At the front of the house, an enclosed garden with flowers welcomes you to these premises. On the ground floor of the house you will find a simply and efficiently furnished kitchen, which is very well equipped. Interesting property in a beautiful landscape but not much of a view. There was a bad smell from the septic tank when we arrived and this recurred off and on throughout our stay. The owners were aware that certain atmospheric conditions worsened the smell. Also, being next to a farm, there were many flies.
We spent a nice holiday here with a warm welcome. The "Gite" in the centre of the tiny and peaceful village of Brestilhac has everything you need and offers enough space for up to six guests. During our stay in april the nights were quite cold which made it necessary to keep the electric heating at full power over night. The surroundings of Haute Loire are very interesting for hiking, cycling or even city excursions. We really enjoyed our 7-day-stay and it was a wonderful place to be for our young cat. Greetings from Germany, Susanna, Thomas and Jami
