It is as advertised - a moderately priced place. A little worn and shabby in part. Bathroom was clean and the shower was great. Staff was excellent - no complaints there at all. They are doing the best with what they’ve got.

Looks like they are upgrading this property. In our room, the hot water took a little while in the shower to get hot. The toilet is not seated the boats were loose. The door didn’t shut right with the main door lock would not lock.

The staff here was great, even going so far as to call and let us know we let behind a toiletry bag when we checked out in a rush to get out. And the renovations look nice, but it’s really a lot like putting lipstick on a big. The hotel has a major infestation problem. We arrived very late and went straight to sleep but we’re awoken by banging from the room next door that sounded like stomping. After turning on the lights, we also saw at least a half dozen roaches from from 1/4 to 1 inch long. While most of them were in the bathroom, we rushed to leave the room when I looked over and saw one on the mattress of the second queen bed. The Travelocity reviews don’t reflect the level of the issues here. A quick visit to hotel’s site reveals hundreds of roach complaints and sightings with responses about pest control actions pending. But honestly, they are missing the big picture—maintenance steps that need to be taken to address access to moisture. The caulking/sealing jobs in the bathroom are poor. Roaches also love to live in the warm/moist places like the fridge cabinets and heaters. They really need to go through and caulk/seal those areas. We stayed in a fist floor room where you could be water damage/bubbling paint from the room above. Fumigating will only affect those bugs that are out and about, and not the nests that are undoubtedly growing in those moist areas.

UPDATED REVIEW: I sent in my first review WAY too quickly. It was a clean room, the bed was very comfortable, and the staff was nice. We arrived Friday evening around 6:00, checked out the room, dropped off our suitcases and left for my brother’s house down the road. We had come for the weekend to be with him because he is not well and we wanted to spend some time with him and help out where we could. We got back after 11:30, went to open our suitcase and there was a roach on it. Went to take a shower and there was a roach in there. The next morning before breakfast, I lifted the hand towel and a big roach came crawling out from under it! There were several more in the bathroom before we checked out Sunday morning. We told the lady at the desk and she apologized and said she’d put it on a list or work order. They are having construction work done and maybe that what is stirring them up, but they should increase their pest control along with the construction. My brother is not getting better so I’ll need to come back to the area soon, however I will not be staying at this hotel. I definitely will not be back.
