About the property
Envisioned for entertaining on a grand scale, this contemporary property features LA-style architecture, incredible living spaces and panoramic views. Set within an old quarry (home to free-roaming goats) it has been skilfully designed to make the most of the vistas that extend across the reservoir, the Cheddar Valley and the Bristol Channel. In the summer months open up the French doors to bring the outdoors in, enjoy dining on the terrace or take a dip in the hot tub. In winter, enjoy the views through the tree tops from many of the rooms, socialise in the open-plan living area and have fun in the indoor games room. It's the perfect place to get together, whatever time of year.
The space
The property has a private gated entrance and ample parking.
The open-plan dining and entertaining area is a super-stylish space to socialise and comprises a large dining table to seat everyone and a contemporary lounge area that faces the views.
French doors lead out to the spacious roof terrace where there is an outdoor lounge with comfortable sofas and sun loungers. Whatever time of the day, it's a fantastic space for relaxing against the backdrop of the incredible reservoir and Cheddar Valley.
A feature double-sided fireplace separates the dining room from the lounge where you can get cosy on the sumptuous sofas to enjoy a movie night. There is access to an outdoor seating area that is connected to the main terrace. There are views of the impressive private cliff face where you may be fortunate enough to see the local Cheddar Gorge goats doing some rock climbing.
The kitchen area features an island/breakfast bar with stool seating where cocktails can be enjoyed as meals are prepared, before sitting down together for dinner. Top of the range Neff appliances include an American-style fridge/freezer with ice and water dispenser, plus an instant boiling water tap, while luxurious fixtures and fittings complete the look. For convenience the property has two fridge/freezers and two dishwashers.
The house has four beautifully decorated bedrooms. Three are super-king-size bedrooms, one being the master with a dressing room and en-suite with a bath, double shower, twin sinks, WC and bidet. The other two super-king-size bedrooms have an en-suite shower room and outdoor private space leading to an elevated terrace. There is also a bedroom with twin beds that can be zipped together to make a super-king-size bed on request. In addition, there is a family bathroom.
All bedrooms and the kitchen have Smart TVs.There is Sky Glass in the snug.
When it comes to having fun, head to the indoor games room which features a pool table and various other games. Meanwhile, the lower outdoor terrace features an outdoor entertaining area with seating, a gas BBQ, table tennis, a hot tub and a selection of outdoor games.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.
Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £500 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive the requirement.
Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you're legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.
