Cabin In The Wildwood
This small cozy log cabin is nestled in southwest Washington green wilderness. Find yourself peacefully snuggling in the swing on the front porch, listening to the babbling brook, birds chirping, hawk calling and frogs croaking. A warm welcome awaits you as you nestle in. Relax, watch a movie/television, read a book, play a board game, cook dinner or sleep in late. As you vacation, you will enjoy the conveniences of a well-stocked home. The cabin will sleep 4 comfortably as the upstairs loft is a king-sized bedroom and the sofa converts to a full-size bed. The kitchen has all the necessities for the inspiring chef, including electric range/oven and microwave. And if you rather, no need to do the dishes. A fire pit nestled under a cover of trees will be the highlight of your evenings. Marshmallows and conversation, a perfect ending to a relaxing day. The lodge motif surrounds you as you enjoy sweet release.
Very nice , we cooked at the outdoor fire pit our fist night steaks and such sâmore nice evening we had a 50 year class reunion and much needed down time away from the city and work . Not sure if we will comeback due to our aging bodies the stairs are steep but the bed was very nice. The extra effort by the host was above all the places we have stayed. Very entertaining to watch the robots cut the grass
We got to the property on a rainy night, later in the evening and the code listed on the website on the arrival instructions was not working. So, we called the owners for two hours, texted them and messaged them about not being able to get in as it said " message us at any time with any problems."
The cabin is on a property and we even went as far as to knock on the property door to see if we could get in. It was not the right door, but the sweet neighbors pointed us in the right direction for the right house, which we did knock on and they did not answer their door.
We eventually called expedia who was able to locate a code to get us in. it was almost 1am and my daughter had to be on the court for a volleyball game at 7am the next morning. She was exhausted, scared and freezing and the night affected her game the next day.
That said, the next day they were more responsive with little things that came up at the house and apologetic. They refunded the first night since we got in so late too. But the experience was still very frustrating that it happened and that they werent available to respond when we needed to get in.
Also, we drove our electric vehicle down since they advertised having an electric charging station and had it plugged in all night after running the battery completely down driving there and when we got to the car in the morning the car had not charged at all. And we were late getting to the game.
The property was beautiful, cabin quaint.
Really cute place! I have always wanted a log cabin & the Cabin in the Wildwood was just perfect for the 2 of us. Our hosts gave us some extra special items that made our stay even better. The location was perfect to use as a base camp for our vacation excursions.
We only stayed 2 nights, with a day at great wolf Lodge, but it felt like we were away for a week. The cabin was a wonderful respite after a day at gwl! Would definitely stay again!
We absolutely loved our little wedding weekend getaway at this cabin in our home town! Whenever we have a house full of people again we will definitely be back very cozy and cute private cabin!
Cabin and area could not be better. Awesome area. I had told the host we would be arriving late. They responded quickly letting me know that wouldn't be a problem. Upon arrival the code did not work. Tried getting a hold of the host. We were locked out. Ended up having to get in through an open window. Never heard A word from our host all weekend. Very very stressful way to start a weekend getaway away. The heat did not work. So it was very cold the first night. But to tired from our long drive to deal with it. The next night it was to cold to handle. Still no word from host. After a couple hours I was able to get the heat pump working and the rest of the stay way very relaxing. Never heard a word from the property manager. I called numerous times and thieir phone was turned off and went straight to voice mail. All in all this was not the stress free weekend I was hoping to have. Cabim & area were awesome. Conunicatoon wasabsolutely nonexistant. Very disappointed by that fact. manager.
This cab was very clean, quiet, and we felt very safe in it. As mentioned in another review, the lighting was definitely very dim. Unable to read a hard cover book, but obviously my kindle worked great. The king bed in the loft was very comfortable. We gave it 4-stars because of the interior lighting.
Cute and quaint little cabin in the woods. Beautiful view from the front porch. On a paved road and still near to convenience. Everything you need is graciously provided. Would stay again.
This property was great to give you the secluded feel but close enough to be able to do things. The property was great and has good things to offer. Planning another getaway soon.
Great little place, not too far off main interstate, but feels like you are deep in the woods!
It was just perfect! The host pays attention to the little details from great coffee (and cream) to the property amenities to the toiletries!
It was peaceful, relaxing, clean and perfect!
It was great. The cabin was exactly as advertised. We spent a week there visiting our new granddaughter. Both of our sons live out there. The cabin was located about halfway between both. Near stores and restaurants. Easy to get to. Would definitely stay there again.
Clean well kept, quiet. Fun watching the robot mowers and the solar panels moving. Everything was as advertised, only thing that didnât work was the overhead light so it was a bit dim.
