Comfortable old inn & popular local pub

Pros: See above
Cons: It is what it is, an old building well renovated. If you don't want a 'local', & are used to American chains, this is not for you.
Location: We were walking The Cotswold Way, which is wonderful. Lots of beautiful sight seeing nearby, historic towns, horse racing, etc.
We arrived from walking a led of The Corswold Way exhausted & hungry on Easter Sunday, with no available transport to a restaurant of any sort. Even though the kitchen wa closed & not serving supper, the lovely owners heated us huge portions of Sunday roast & were wonderful about it. The pub was popular & noisy but our room was very quiet & comfortable. Nothing upscale or exotic, just good food, good folks, & comfy bed.
