Great stay, easy check in and check out! Restaurant downstairs with a great bar. Old historic building with charm, room was quaint and clean and the staff very helpful. If you’re looking for a place brand new, you’re missing out on history and charm.

We were so pleased with the Publick House. I used to live in the area many years ago and was excited to experience it. When we arrived, we were welcomed by smiling faces. The staff was very accomodating. Unfortunately we stayed there after the restaurant closed. Our next trip we will make sure we are there when the restaurant is open! We will be back.

Quaint small hotel in a historic building. Nothing bad but nothing outstanding. Rooms adorned with older furnishings - gave a bed and breakfast feel. Very quiet and I was able to clearly hear a conversation in the next room.

Stay in this Historic Inn
Amazing historic room. Spacious and comfortable. Super friendly folks. The restaurant downstairs was awesome. A really great stay for my wife and me.

Great hotel in a great small town
My wife and I lived in a neighboring town for 22 years and were quite familiar with the Publick House and its history. It was a bar and restaurant for most of our time there but the hotel was never open. When we needed to stay in town for a short visit we were surprised to see the hotel was open and we were eager to check it out. We were very surprised by the very spacious and comfortable accommodations. The couch in the living room and bed were very comfortable. The new owners did an excellent job with this hotel.
