The Waverly Retreat

Located an easy 1.6 miles to Indiana Dunes State Park, 2 miles South of Porter Beach, not even a mile from the South Shore train station with direct access to downtown Chicago, and 2 miles from the historic downtown Chesterton. This house has access to everything you could ask for. Not only is the location perfect if you want a relaxing weekend at the beach or some active hiking days on the many miles of trails, but the house itself is cozy and convenient with all the comforts of home.

Wonderful property with plenty of room. Close to many of the beaches but you will probably want to buy a national or state park pass depending on how long you are staying. The only thing we wish we had was a washer and dryer on site; it would have been nice to clean and dry swim suits without having to take them into town to wash.

We had a great stay at this wonderful property in early August. It's in a great location, close to many beaches and not far to Michigan City. It had everything we needed so we spent most of our time relaxing at the house. No issues at all.

The house was very comfortable and convenient to the places we wanted to visit. It was great having a gas station and Dollar General right down the road, too! Kayla was quick to respond to our questions, and she was very sweet. We would highly recommend home!

The home was welcoming and clean! The outside porch area was so cute and fun. My 3 year old loved the deck swing. Near by tons of fun beaches and hikes. Communication was fantastic throughout the whole process. Felt like home, but even more relaxing. Would stay over and over again! Loved all the extra amenities, like a booster chair for my little one too! Very thoughtful.

This home is cozy, and an excellent example of well used space. We had two littles with us and they had attachable eating chairs, a railing for the bed and the home was very family friendly. The home is in a safe area and AMAZING LOCATION. Park, beach, liquor store, trails, gas, dollar tree, cute towns, food, I mean you name it, it’s close by. The outside porch and fenced in area was also perfect and very safe for young kids. Lastly, the homeowners were EXTREMELY helpful and quick to respond. Perfect price for a wonderful place.

Daughter's Wedding Weekend

We rented this beautiful home for my daughter's wedding weekend at the Allure. It was clean, well laid out, and extremely convenient to the venue. Kayla, the owner, was beyond wonderful. She was quick with her responses and helpful in providing suggestions to my inquiries. She always ended her responses by saying, "Let me know if there is anything else I can answer or do for you." The master bedroom made the perfect backdrop for pictures with my daughter's wedding dress and the jacuzzi was an unexpected reward after a long day of celebrating. This house has a wonderful back patio and enclosed patio with a swing. I just wish we would have had more time to enjoy it! My daughter's wedding was PERFECT and the icing on the cake for us was that the Waverly Retreat and Kayla were too!

Great Stay!

This house was the perfect location for us to explore Indiana Dunes National Park. Clean & comfortable. And our host was wonderful. She replied to our every question within minutes. A great place to relax after hiking the dunes and enjoying the beach.

Perfect family weekend getaway

Stayed here for a long weekend trip with the family and we absolutely loved our stay! Home was very comfortable and cozy! It had everything we needed and super close to the dunes! The owner was also absolutely wonderful! Had a minor issue and not only did the owners come to help first thing in the morning they brought us donuts as well. I will definitely come back here next time we visit!

Great Place!

This is a great place to stay if your visiting Indiana Dunes NP! The house is located in a quiet little neighborhood in the center of the park so you are close to the east or west side of the park. It is also right around the corner from the visitors center. The house is super cute with 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom is huge with a bathroom with heated floors! It was clean with pretty much everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Kayla the owner is super sweet and answered any question I had within 10 min. Great communication! She added a grill which was nice and I would recommend staying here with family or friends. Thank you!

Plenty of room and very clean. We enjoyed the back deck for cards on a beautiful evening. Wished the weather had been better so we could have had time to see the beach/dunes but the house was a perfect split between Chicago and South Bend.
