Dirty Red Lion

The Red Lion on W Fox Farm Rd in Cheyenne WY is a hotel that should've been condemned years ago. Just from the parking lot there's dumpsters filled with building materials and trash. The lobby, elevators and breakfast room really show their age. Be careful while eating breakfast that you don't step on a stretched out power cord plugged into a surge protector. Seriously, what is the owner doing with the revenue?!? The pic attached is what we saw entering our room.

Nice room but slow check in

The room itself was nice, comfortable and clean. breakfast buffet had only small selection - no meat or fruit - only cereal, eggs, potatoes or french toast. Hotel was undergoing renovations in lobby and aisle way. Biggest complaint was very slow check in. We arrived 40 minutes early and would not let us check in - came back an hour later and it took us 40 minutes to check in - long line and long process.

The property was under construction. A lot of dust in the lobby/restaurant area. And some areas in the hallways needed some work. Staff was great. Once they finish their construction, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The sheets were very scratchy and itchy. Perhaps it's what's they are cleaned in? The front desk was super helpful and changed my room after I asked for a different one. I was very grateful for their help! The breakfast was great!
