I enjoyed everything about the hotel. I love the luxury/classic look of hotel. The room was a little small than expected, but very nice. I would definitely recommend The Allegro Royal Sonesta Hotel.

Very friendly staff, unique decor, nice large room, clean, just a couple small things would move it to excellent. Walkable to many dining options, convenient parking nearby. Assumed there was a coffee maker in the room, but it was available in the lobby. The towel bar inside the shower was odd, should be next to the sink.

Overall this property is lovely. The public areas are plentiful and feel luxuriously hip and comfortable. Though compact, the gym was great, lots of equipment in a very shareable space. Everything was clean and comfortable in the room. My room was at the end of the building above the metro track, so a little noisy when the rail came by. I was surprised by the daily surcharge for gym, water, and daily $10 credit for bar or snack use, the surcharge wasn’t revealed until after I booked and paid. Didn’t even use my $10 daily credit. Would have liked to participate in the daily tea-time with scones; but was always out during that 2-4pm timeframe. I would definitely return due to the hotel style and staff.

Do not recommend

Do not recommend. Check in gentleman was rude. Toilet running entire time even though I requested it fixed. Never vacuumed, popcorn on floor entire time and we did not eat popcorn. Maid service never took dirty towels. Very expensive and very rundown.
